I first stayed at this hotel in 2015 for the Tour de Yorkshire. That was the only year I enjoyed it here. 2016 when we arrived we got given 2 rooms that weren't correct. We waited 1.5 hours before getting into our correct room. The brown sauce at breakfast burnt my lips, the glasses to drink from had lip smudges...

Location was good, close to the centre (5 min walk) room was ok but to be honest I've stayed in much better budget hotels. (Vicky did a good job keeping the room clean during our stay thank you). Breakfast was ok. Car parking was £8 per day extra. In need of modernisation very tired and worn. Hotel catered more for...

This was our second visit after a space of two years. Everything was very much as it was then. Very good service and leisure facilities. The evening meal on the first night was enjoyable and the free wine enjoyable and we took it back to our room. Breakfast the first morning was a bit chaotic, perhaps as we went down...

Stayed for one night on business. Had an enormous room with great views over the city. The public rooms and common areas are very grand. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the imposing & elegant dining room was delicious and plenty of it. Had hoped to use the swimming pool which looked inviting but couldn't fit it in....

Stayed one night with a Groupon offer. Fantastic value for money. Room, Three Course Dinner with Bottle of wine and Breakfast. The room was very large with King Size bed and very well decorated, overlooking thr gardens. (237) Tea and coffee making facilities also. The bathroom was a good size with shower over the bath and looked to have been...

There are lots of mixed reviews about this hotel but I have to say that having stayed midweek for a couple of nights I feel that many of these reviews are very unfair. Firstly, this is a 100 year old listed building full of history and wonderful features including high ceilings, large public rooms and there won't be many hotels...

Great architecture both inside and out. Impressive guest list, good food, and handy for the rich vein of restaurants in Harrogate. Swimming pool and gym on site. Impressive bar. There's a charge for the car park which seems un neccassary if we have to use the car park and the hotel feels thry need to charge for it then include...

We use this Hotel annually for our school reunion and receive excellent service in all areas. Rooms are spacious and well presented. The public areas provide a whole range of possibilities from meeting rooms to private dining. My only little niggle was having to wait in a queue the first morning, although this was very much improved on subsequent mornings....

We visited this hotel over Easter weekend for 2 nights. The location couldn't be beaten, it was only a very short walk into the centre of Harrogate. The staff were also lovely and very helpful. I emailed and phoned the hotel before arriving and asked for a refurbished room (people I know who had visited before advised to do this)....
