Ate here with family between xmas and new year. Have eaten here before and been served food different to that ordered. Previously my husband ordered breaded chicken with mini ceasar salad and fries. he got breaded chicken with rocket and fries. I ordered zaatar squid having had it here before and found it delicious. This time there was no zaatar spice or preserved lemon mayo, the squid was a bowl of mainly batter and was overfried and came covered in capers which were not listed as an ingredient. It seems like they don't bother with the fine detail of bringing you what you ordered and don't tell you when they have missing ingredients. The food served was overcooked and bland to add insult to injury. I will not be returning.
Was here for 2 nights 5th and 6th of jan. Location was perfect, room was fine, breakfast just ok, customer service of one individual very poor and because of this will not be returning to this hotel. Not allowed to go into details because of trip of advisors guidelines but read into it what you will.
Excellent service and excellent food. A group of 20 of us booked in for a meal after seeing the pantomime. We were given a private room and had pre ordered our food. The staff ensured everyone got what they wanted ( mostly fish and chips) and were delighted with the quality. The venue has a wonderful atmosphere and the new veranda will really come into its own in the summer.
We’ve stayed here before and once again it didn’t disappoint. The room was great, plenty of space, the only thing is I think a chest of drawers would help as nowhere to put things but not really a problem. The bathroom was huge, a shelf in the shower would be a help to put shower gel / shampoo on. We ate here both nights as the food is excellent, the small plates are delicious. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be back!
I popped in yesterday with a friend for a drink and snack and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. I am only visiting Harrogate for a week and have been so several bars and restaurants in town and have been disappointed by the service in each place but not The Inn. As soon as we walked through the door of The Inn the man behind the door gave us a warm welcome and seated us. The waitress who followed was really friendly and attentive. She genuinely seemed interested in us and how our day had been. The food was really nice as was the setting and also seemed reasonable priced for Harrogate. I will definitely be back again while I’m here as this is the only place I have received good service so far.
As in title the place is lovely. great rooms we had room 7 up 3 flights of stairs but worth the climb. Rooms are well presented and clean (well spotless) There are rooms on ground level for disabled. (Just ask when booking ) Staff are really nice . Only problem slow to serve breakfast however it's made to order . 45mins it took for us . Diego would go back .
A lovely friendly, professionally run hotel in the heart of Harrogate. The rooms are very clean and comfortable contributing to a great nights sleep or was it the superb selection of Timothy Taylor’s 😁 The full Yorkshire breakfast was delicious, 5*. A big thanks to all who work extremely hard to provide this.
Lovely hotel, staff couldn't be more accommodating. Fabulous restaurant - would definately stay there again just for to experience the food again :). We have a room for 3 people and it was more than big enough for us.
It seems as if we were really unlucky or else we stayed at a different hotel from those that have written positive reviews. We were told that the hotel was quiet (we specially asked), and we had a room on the main road and it was in the middle of major renovations so noise and builders greeted us (scaffolding covered the hotel). The receptionist definitely should have informed us of both. The parking is minimal so assume it's not available and you have to pay for public parking 5-10 minutes walk away. The reception area was a shabby shoe box - not exactly a 4* start. We walked into our room where the part of the curtain was hanging off the hooks, and the room had multiple areas of mould/damp/cracks in the ceiling. The bathroom was particularly bad (please see attached photo). It seems as if some of the rooms have been redecorated and the annex seems good from other reports so ask to stay there. Our breakfast was ok - but over cooked poached eggs were a disappointment. I would have given our room a mediocre 3* and felt completely overcharged and deceived when booking. Do please ask questions when you book to ensure you have a positive experience. We will never return. …
Rooms are wonderful, well decorated, large and the bathrooms are out of this world. Tea/coffee etc are abundant, different types We had the dog friendly room, which we were advised before booking that may be noisy through the day as the kitchen was above. The dog friendly room has an open area, the room is large and great for dogs. I would suggest that the room (15) has sound proofing in ceiling is undertaken.
