Recently visited with family as a party of 11 for a birthday meal. Walking into this lovely classic country pub a warm welcome was given and we were seated straight away in the dining room area infront of the patio doors looking over the lovely beer garden area. We had pre-ordered our meals before arrival and these were brought out...

Called in there last night to meet my daughter Kirsty and Grandson Jordan. Had a few drinks and a meal. What a nice atmosphere in the place. Local people who were chatty and easy to get on with. Great beers and lovely food which wasn`t crazily priced. Deffo call there again. Thankyou to the staff and the fantastically friendly local...

We stayed here a few days ago and were very happy with it. Friendly staff and locals, good food, a great big proper breakfast, decent beer and a very good price. Very happy to recommend the Red Lion. We will be back :)

My husband and I regularly visit this pub with our two young children when we are in Brecon, and will continue to do so. The staff are always really polite and friendly, the food is tasty and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is quaint and cosy. My only criticism is that they need a proper baby changing table fitted to...

Hi thank you for your review. You will be pleased to know that about 16 months ago our toliets had a re-vamp and there is now a baby changing table on the wall in a newer bigger disabled toilet. We try to do refurbishment work every year but I hope you can appreciate that that things cost a lot of...

excellent value and superb atmosphere. live band saturdays. gets crowded so book a table if you want food which is basic but really good value for money. as it gets busy you would be advised to park in main car park by community hall. worth a visit.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad you appreciate our low prices and value for money. Just to clarify though we don't have bands every Saturday just once a month and the food is basic because we are a primarily a locals pub so we want to cater for people in the village who might decide they can't be...

We wandered down to this cosy, friendly pub a couple of times while staying in a cottage in the charming Brecon village of Llangynidr. Welcomed as soon as we stepped over the threshold, there was a fine choice of local ales, generous portions of wholesome food at good value...and very friendly locals. Monday is pie night. The chicken curry looked...

Stayed here with my son on way to rugby in Cardiff. Very friendly and comfortable, the beer is first class and the food was excellent. If you want a quiet stay in a beautiful location this is the place. Only complaint I had is that I wasn't able to stay longer!
