Completing a supeb weekend. The service was beyond high standard, for the hotel offerings been so cheap in this recession I wondered about the hotel and how clean the rooms would be.The rooms where spotless. I would certainly re visit and promote the hotel. Staff went above and beyond helping to assist with checking in and went the extra mile...

The hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. We felt that it was some distance to the car park (which was public) was a hindrance as the hotel is on a main street with double yellow lines. The breakfast was good and we had dinner which was also accetable.

Was in Arklow for an annual golf competition held at the local Arklow golf links, 5 min walk. Stayed in the Royal Hotel. The Royal is based in the centre of the main street and just a short walk to all the amenities, shopping centre, golfing, night life. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Large bar and lounge area and...

I was happy enough with the price of the room, as the hotel is very well located in the centre of town. However, I got a room which appeared to be just above the bar / nighclub. I expect some noise, as you would in the centre of a main street on bank holiday weekend, and managed to drift to...

Stayed in this 'so called Hotel' last night. It should not be called a hotel by the way. Rooms were very oldfashioned and stank from cigarettes and drink. Do not stay here.

Stayed a while ago, for just one night. It was a kind of reunion, people had travelled from all over and we pretty much all stayed there. Now, I'll be honest, the rooms are nothing special, they are in need of a bit of paint and a trip to their local swedish flat pack furniture stockists for some mirrors, wardrobes...
