As B&Bs go, this 300+ year old dairy farm is nearly perfect. As everyone has noted, Howard was a charming host, the tea and breakfasts were divine, the setting was beautiful, and the other guests were friendly. Our room was simple, but comfortable. The bath was down the hall, but quite modern and comfortable. Despite visiting during a period of...

But driving up to the house was like entering the realms of Jane Austen or Henry James, and all amid the stunning backdrop of the Wicklow countryside. The proprietors were extremely welcoming and were always available to offer information about the local area. Howard...

We could have stayed a week at the Kilpatrick House! Immediately upon arrival we were greeting by our host, whose name completely escapes me now... Henry? Harry? I'm sorry I can't come up with it! Anyway, we were a bit war weary as we had just arrived in country early that morning from the States, and had done some sightseeing...

Beautiful drive up to the house and lovely garden. Very warm welcome by the family and the family pets. After a long drive, was greeted with warm scones and tea. Also provided great suggestions for dinner and day trips. They have lots of tourist info including a DVD of Wicklow. Powerscourt, Glendalough, Avoca all very near by. I stayed in...

Our experience was very much like Americandream_7. We were greeted on arrival, offered some tea and homebaked cakes and shown our room. We were also provided with plenty of information on the local area (including a very detailed map) and suggestions of where we could go to get a flavour of the area. The breakfast is also very satisfying and...

We stayed at Kilpatrick House for the final two days at the end of our round Ireland trip after it being recommended to us by friends. What a way to finish off a fabulous holiday! Kilpatrick House is a beautiful 300 year old house set on a working farm. The house has beautiful gardens and we were able to walk...
