Beautiful Hotel overlooking the River Barrow. Meals delightful, lovely big veranda for outdoor drinks enjoyed in the summer. Downside was most workers being Polish, thus the language barrier causing problems even when ordering basic drinks/food. Other than this staff was friendly and hotel very comfortable. Music on flat screen tv's in the bar area too, which was entertaining for myself...

I found this hotel on Tripadvisor whilst looking for a hotel to stay in New Ross for a family party and the previous review made it sound perfect. I couldn't agree with the reviewer more. Portovino is a new hotel situated beside the River Barrow. I usually stay in another hotel in New Ross, however decided to stay here when I read about it in a local publication. The building is a striking stone building overlooking the river. The rooms are lovely and the staff have a buzz about them. I ate in the bar...
