this place is ok, the guy Tom seemed a little intense, like a misunderstood poet type :) but he did try his best to be polite to me, considering I had a Dublin accent they always seem weary of jackeens , but he was cool & the foreign guy was cool also he searched for about 10 minutes for a...

Breakfast inclusion was excellent including brilliant multi-grain & seed bread baked on site. Well equipped kitchen for self catering. A reasonably equipped hostel that will suit most travellers. Negative - Non-adjustable water temperature in showers.

This place is really handily located for a night out in West Port, the place is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The only down side is the price, but as you'll soon discover, everything in West Port is expensive.

Stayed here for a few days, wasn't impressed. On arrival the woman at reception was very rude. We went to our room which was too warm, and very cramped. They had over booked our room so wasn't enough beds. Wifi wouldn't work so asked at reception desk, wasn't much help and had to use data. Common room closes at 11...

Stayed there Saturday night and went to straight to bed when we got in. woke the next day to be told we had been making noise and weren't getting our deposit back. They did this to 2 other groups as well. All I know is we didn't make any noise and we didn't hear any noise either. Staff were very...

Went to Westport on a stag. A mannerly group that caused no trouble anywhere. You pay 25 euro in the event of damage to any of the rooms which is fair. There was approx 17 in our group so we had the 2 rooms at the end of the corridor. On checkout we were told our deposit was not refundable...

I didn't get a good first impression of the place, the girl at the reception seemed a bit new and shy, so she wasn't that helpfull and welcoming, which is usually why I love staying in hostels. The hostel was clean and the rooms nice and the breakfast was good, but Tom definitely made a difference! He was so helpful...

The location of the hostel is excellent, the staff are very helpful (especially Juan) they are more than happy to help in anyway way , including printing our boarding pass for us ! It was abit of a shame that the kitchen area wasn't open earlier than it was,as in our case we had been up most of the night...

The location is good, the staff is really helpful, and there's a well-equipped kitchen BUT you cannot expect for any worse bathrooms. At first the bathrooms looked tidy and spacious, but once you've used them, you're gonna cry. There are 3 bathrooms for women but only 1 bathroom can be locked. There are no space to hang your stuffs (Towel,...

I stayed there four nights during the annual Westport traditional/bluegrass festival (which was wonderful), and with the exception of Saturday night where I had to move into an 8 person girls' dorm (fairly chaotic), I loved every minute of it. Tom, Anthony and the rest of the staff and volunteers (whose names I didn't get) were the nicest, and they...
