I read about Beaulieu in Sean D. O’Reilly’s wonderful book “Irish Houses & Gardens: From the Archives of Country Life” a number of years ago and the prettiness of Beaulieu, with its perfect proportions, large eaves, and its (comparatively) modest scale stayed with me. Beaulieu is something of an anomaly as far as the Irish Big House is concerned, being...

17th C mansion near Drogheda with its own chapel and gardens open to the public during the summer. Still owned by a descendent of the original family. Our spacious room was full of character with a very comfortable king sized bed and the again spacious bathroom had a walk in shower and a bath. Fantastic breakfast in the main dining...

My wife and I spent one night at Beaulieu House on our way back to Dublin Airport after a two weeks drive trough Ireland. We wanted to finish our trip with a touch of class and selected Beaulieu House. We were totally charmed by the place and its surroundings. Our room was grandiose and the owner, Lady Cara, gave us...

We were delighted by the unique experience of staying in a 17th century home close to Drogheda. The house is historic, with gardens and a small church, which have been in the same family for 11 generations. It's a beautiful setting and very peaceful. Easy to visit nearby historic sites and the coast.

Stayed at Beaulieu with friends - fantastic experience. Cara is very welcoming and delighted to talk to us about the fascinating history of the house and her family. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The whole experience was great and will definitely have to be repeated.

Gorgeous setting, wonderful house steeped in history. We were made to feel very welcome by Cara to her vibrant working home. Bedroom overlooking Boyne was enormous with superb views onto the river. Marvellous walled garden and only 5 mins from Drogheda. Breakfast to die for.

A historic home in Drogheda overlooking the River Boyne that you can stay overnight, take a guided tour of, go for a stroll in beautiful manicured gardens and walk through a forest. Elegant B&B with luxurious large bedrooms and very good breakfast. Interesting family history going back many generations. Large country house just 5 kms from Drogheda town centre and...
