We had to go to Limerick recently on a family matter (Jan 2016). Checked the area near to our venue for somewhere to stay and read several reports for the Woodfield. Most recent reports were good, some not so complimentary, though these were from some years back. On arrival we received a friendly greeting at reception then went to our...

A very good hotel with super food and super staff, spoiled by the lack of heat on a cold December day and night. There was intermittent hot water in the shower - occupants of three other rooms had no showers because only cold water! My wife returned from the Breakfast room to get her OVERCOAT as the room was so...

I loved my one day/night stay in this hotel..It was the perfect compromise between a bed and breakfast and larger more impersonal hotel. I was really impressed with the charming cosy atmosphere and the christmas decorations were so beautiful it felt like home.. The photos don't do it justice and as it was a last minute choice to stay here...

My husband and I dined here the other night, the menu is pretty basic but we were hungry after an evening of shopping so decided initially to 'test the waters' by ordering just two starters, a bruschetta and garlic mushrooms. I have to say the bruschetta was very tasty, flavoursome tomatoes and lovely pesto on perfectly toasted bread, the mushroom...

Only spent one night here at the hotel, travelled with friends and we got a large suite room that was very clean with plenty of space for everyone. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was lovely and welcoming and helpful with directions - it is about a 20 minute walk away from the city centre. Only criticism of the hotel...

Dropped in to the Woody for lunch. Had the Beef and Guinness stew. Scrumptious!! I intend to dine here again. As well as being a hotel, the bar in the Woodfield House Hotel is my local. It has become very popular. The refurbishment is great. They are improving the place, without modernising it too much.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting to attend a funeral in the area. This is an excellent hotel for the price and handy for Shannon airport. Rooms were very comfortable and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We only ate breakfast here but it was very good and reasonably priced. There is a bit of noise from the...

We had booked a night with a bed and breakfast in Limerick but when we arrived we found that they were overbooked. The b&b relocated us to the Woodfield House Hotel and we had a fantastic time! The staff (Sara in particular) was incredibly helpful and attentive. I really felt that they went out of their way to help make...
