This is an amazing hotel to get away to for weekend. Rooms top quality and the grounds are only stunning to stroll around. It is a short drive to Kilkenny also if you wished to look around there. But to be honest since it was a short break for us we just wanted to lap up the luxury of this...

I was visiting Kilkenny for business and stayed at the Lyrath. Being used to business hotels upon checkin i found it very strange that the gym was only open from 10am to 7pm which ruled it out immediately for anyone not on vacation, but given its location i appreciate I was an exception. The room was lovely & spacious with...

We stayed here for one night only in January. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the main dinning room La Perla was excellent, however I felt the atmosphere was a bit lacking. We enjoyed delicious cocktails in the bar after dinner. Our room was a good size with good size bathroom and shower. I had a...

This is a lovely hotel with fabulous staff. Reception is surprisingly small for the size of the hotel and the staff there were constantly run off their feet-i definitely would recommend at least one extra pair of hands here. Room was lovely, spacious with a great shower and fab Handmade Soap Company products in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable but...

Although it is rated as 5 Star it definitely doesn't come near the standards set by Aghadoe Heights or Hayfield Manor hotels. The bedroom was cold, and the corridors more so. No room at the bar after dinner as the tables had been reserved. The staff were very obliging but the hotel lacked ambiance, character and warmth.

Very nice break for two last week. Went for the special offer of bed, breakfast, afternoon tea and scones, evening meal and complimentary pass to the thermal suite for €97 each. Well worth every penny and great value. Food was fresh and delicious. The staff were very courteous and professional. Thai food was great and the restaurant staff could nt...

The Lyrath is impressive from the minute you drive through it's lovely entrance and up along the avenue to be greeted by the old estate house. The staff at reception are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were offered an upgrade to an executive room and it was fabulous; comfortable and spacious. We kicked off our stay with afternoon tea...

Very disappointing , not a 5 star hotel in my opinion . Our room was more like a 2 star room - very basic and old brown furniture just not a nice room at all . Couldn't use the pool or gym as they were closed from 12-4 which we found out after changing into our bathrobes and swimwear and...

Stayed here last week for my birthday, it's our second time at this hotel. Last time we stayed was when renovations were being carried out in the rooms. We had a major problem which got resolved fairly quickly. This visit there was a vast improvement, the new decor and rooms were lovely. Last time we tried the hydrotherapy pool, sauna...
