My Mum, sister and I stayed in Mena House for the weekend of Rod Stewart in Nolan Park - which was fantastic by the way. The owner Katherine was the best, she was so welcoming / helpful and pointed out all the best places to eat and all the best sites to visit. The B&B was an easy 15 min...

My trip to Ireland occurred late Apr/early May 2016 and included an overnight in Kilkenny at Mena House. Katherine (owner/operator) is an outstanding hostess. She made sure we got oriented to the Mile and offered suggestions on stop points for our various interests. The breakfast is excellent with a gorgeous view of her backyard. The room was quiet, extremely comfortable...

My husband and I arrived early and didn't have any problems checking in. The owner is very friendly. The breakfast was yummy! However if you have asthma or problems with smoke you should stay elsewhere or open a window. My husband was sick and I was getting over bronchitis so you can imagine we had the window open. The room...

Mean House was 15 minute walk from downtown Kilkenny. It was on the outskirts of town so it would be a great base for excursions in the surrounding area (Waterford, Cashel). Katherine was an extremely helpful hostess. Beautiful garden views.

This was very pleasant surprise! We booked our trip through Groupon and picked this B&B from a website. Since they had nice reviews, we selected it. The room was lovely, very clean, with nice linens and amenities. They even had a real hair dryer (not a mini low energy hair dryer). Catherine was very nice and helpful. The B&B is...

Katherine gave us a warm welcome and helped orient us to grab a lovely dinner at the Marble City Bar. We had our first Irish breakfast cooked by Katherine in her beautiful sunroom overlooking the garden – two sunny side up eggs, sausage, bacon, baked tomato, black and white pudding. Katherine’s B&B is quaint and lovely. We were in the...

We stayed here while at a wedding. Basic rooms but very clean, friendly atmosphere. Parking is tight. The guest house had a good selection of breakfasts to choose from and we could take As long as we liked for breakfast

Katherine was very welcoming and she made sure to take the time to explain exactly how to get around town and where to park. She even showed us the best route to take when we left the following day for Blarney. The b&b was extremely clean and comfortable. We loved that she gave us several options to choose from for...
