The gentlemen was great. Presented breakfast with style. He was friendly and helpful. The room and bedding was not clean. The location is in the countryside. Finding this place could be a bit of a challenge.

I booked this B&B as I was attending a wedding in Lyrath Estate, a few minutes down the road. When I arrived in my suit Sandra, the proprieter, asked where the wedding was on. Once she heard Lyrath Estate she immediately offered my wife and I a lift down to the hotel to save us leaving there car over night....

We got lost on our way- no fault of the B&B. Showed up at ~2300 and Dermont was very warm and welcoming, even at the late hour. Room was large, clean and welcoming. Sad to say the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Very quiet country setting that we were able to appreciate early the next morning on a long walk. Breakfast...

Biggest downside was the location - through no fault of their own with the M-way creating a bypass to town. (Kilkenny) Having said that, it was a quiet nights sleep. Dermont gave us some great tips for Kilkenny and area, and we valued them tremendously. Breakfast was great, but a choice menu may have been better. All in all we...

We arrived very early to Ashbrook House, but our host, Dermot, was kind enough to let us check in early. It is a newer property about 6 miles outside Kilkenny. Easy to find if you follow the directions. Bed was comfy, everything clean and light. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We got lots of information about the area and had...

Beautiful house but way out of Kilkenny. Road to house full of pot holes. Booked an en suite room, but couldn,t swing a mouse never mind a cat in the bathroom would advise booking room without ensuite as then you have the use of a beautiful large bathroom. Beds were very comfortable, No milk in room had to ask for...

Lovely room, great breakfast, friendly service, a good selection of DVDs to borrow. NB: 10 mins out of town but beautiful, quiet rural setting (although motorway going in nearby).

We arrived and found ourselves in a beautiful home with wooden floors. The rooms were spacious and the beds were great. The bathroom was modern, there was a t.v. and they even offer DVDs for your viewing pleasure. Kilkenny is close by, and Sandra was helpful in recommending a place for dinner. We slept like babies, and breakfast was perfect....
