Beautiful home with beautiful surroundings. Stayed for 2 nights in August and it was awesome. Delicious home cooked breakfast cooked by Norrie, who was a very sweet and helpful lady. Her husband was not there while we were there. House is about a 15 minute walk from Killarney which has many amazing places to visit while there. Definitely check out... More

We spent two nights at Alderhaven Country Home and both Norrie and Pat O'Neill were wonderful hosts. They made our stay comfortable, offered suggestions for dining and excursions. We would have loved to stay longer, maybe next time! Norrie also makes delicious breakfasts to start your day!

My husband, six year old son and I enjoyed a two night stay here in early August and we loved it. It feels like you are way out in the country rather than a few minutes drive from the city centre. Norrie is a warm and accommodating host and our room was comfortable and well equipped. My son was captivated... More

My husband and I and our two daughters (12 and 14) spent 3 nights at Alderhaven. This is my first Trip Advisor review but I had to put in the good word for Norrie and the lovely place she's created. The location is beautiful, we loved Killarney, and coming home to the Alderhaven was the perfect end to each day... More

We came to stay here for two nights on our honeymoon. Alderhaven was the perfect place for us in Killarney. It has a country vibe (there was a horse grazing next door!) but is just minutes away from all the shops and pubs on the main street. Norrie was very accommodating. She had some delicious tea and biscuits ready for... More

We had driven from Dublin to Killarney (which was an adventure to say the least) and managed to survive driving on the opposite side of the road and the numerous round abouts! To add to the many missed turns at the round abouts, we missed the small Alderhaven Country Home sign and had to make the last "lets turn around...again"... More

I should start out by saying that I never write reviews, but I had to for Alderhaven. It is the most splendid place I have ever stayed! Norrie is the sweetest woman in Ireland. My sister and I couldn't rent a car because we're under 25, but she offered to transport us to and from the station. She even accommodated... More

We stayed at the Alderhaven home for two nights during our tour of Ireland. It was the most enjoyable bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. The food and atmosphere were excellent. They made us feel very comfortable and our 22 year old daughter still talks about the stories and history lessons... More

We arrived on our first day in country, very reasonable drive from Shannon airport with stops along the way for site seeing. We had very little planned and Norrie was a fantastic host, helping to shape our stay. Be sure to check out the Ross castle and Muck Ross gardens, really nice. The rooms at Alderhaven were nice and clean.... More

My wife and I enjoyed our two nights in Killarney. This B&B was a little challenging to find without a GPS device, but the place is very clean and comfortable. It is located very close to town, so we enjoyed a very short car trip to town restaurants. The hostess was excellent to make sure our food is just how... More

“We were driving, and neither Google Maps nor Bing Maps placed Alderhaven correctly. Both put it on N22 (Cork Road). But you need to get onto Ballycasheen Road, then head west about 600m. Look for a small sign on the right hand side (look for Flesk Grove on the maps, that's your turn). On Flesk Grove, immediately go to the right and up the long, secluded, wooded driveway, skirting all the houses.”
