Highly recommend this quaint gem. The food is fabulous, the staff exceptional. Very cozy, beautifully decorated, feels like “grammas house”. The pub on ground floor has live music in the evening with a lot of local Irish flavor!
My husband and I stayed at the Arbutus hotel in Killarney for 3 nights in June 2022. It’s a charming hotel right in the centre of Killarney and is full of character. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff and felt very much at home. The reception area is very cosy and inviting and resembles a sitting room with a fireplace and very comfortable armchairs and couches. The bedroom was very spacious and the bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with an excellent range of choice. Management and staff were exceptional.. friendly, helpful and super efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return again.
This hotel is VERY centrally located with lots of shopping, restaurants, bank, and jaunty horses nearby. The bedding is lovely and room 223 has a nice view. Room 222 has no view. The breakfast is not as extensive as some.
Spent a few days at this hotel in May …great spot , beautifully presented , great rooms , the only comfortable armchair I found in any Irish hotel room lol…staff were great , food delicious …the night porter ( who’s name I think was Pat or Paddy ) was extremely helpful when one of our group got bad news and needed to leave suddenly …thanks again and see you soon !
Great location, many pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance of hotel. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast in the morning, nicely appointed dining room, wonderful choice of breakfast foods, and efficient staff.
Another wonderful stay at the charming and historic Arbutus Hotel. As always everything to perfection. The new Courtyard is fab where we enjoyed great food, you must try their homemade deserts. Loved the drawing room adjoining Buckley’s Bar, an ideal location for high tea or cocktails with special friends. Looking forward to our next visit.
Hotel is charming and full of character. Tea and scones on arrival sets the tone. Rooms large , huge comfortable bed, pristine linen Great atmosphere in bar and courtyard food is so good -try the rhubarb crumble. Breakfast is served with silver and linen, staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Tip try the breakfast omelette-a feast also homemade gingerbread on the breakfast bar is a treat. Highly recommended
This hotel was great! The service was amazing and the staff were courteous and wonderful. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The location was great l! Very central to everything. The food was amazing. We had a light dinner and a beautiful breakfast! Highly recommend!!
This was our first time staying here and will definitely be back. It’s great value for money and situated in the centre of town. Had Chicken wings and Steak sandwich and they were beautiful. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good size room, lovely shower and comfortable bed.
Went for drinks with friends on Saturday afternoon. It was a catch up with old colleagues and I have to say Denis behind the bar was sensational. We all work in the hospitality sector and know how hard the industry can be, but with Denis nothing was a problem. He brought our drinks to the table and for our second round we didn't even have to ask he knew exactly what we all were having. Would highly recommend calling to Buckley's Bar for a few drinks. Thanks again Denis
