Lovely, clean b&b, run by a very friendly couple. Breakfast is so fresh , with a super selection of various choices... traditional Irish fry, porridge, smoothies, fruit cocktail etc.. tea and coffee anytime you like. Rooms are always spotless, beds are very comfortable, Toiletries provided. Close to Galway City. Highly recommended , great value for money.

We spent 2 nights in this B&B! The room was big, very comfortable and nice! The bed was good, the bathroom small but there was all the necessary. The owners are nice and kind! I really appreciated the home made breakfast: the first morning we had pankecakes with cream, maple syrup and fresh fruit, the second morning eggs, bacon and...

Excellent breakfast - fresh, with fresh fruit salad. Friendly couple who appreciates star gazing. Very clean and spotless place - essential to my wife. The 3 bed bedroom was just adequate - with comfy pillows etc. Free drinking water too.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Almara House in September and we wished we could have stayed longer. Loved this city so much, but our stay at the Almara played a big part as well. Marie and Matt were such lovely hosts - so welcoming and always greeting you with big smiles. We arrived early on our...

We had a comfortable bed in a clean, nicely decorated room and the owners, Matt and Mari, were kind enough to let us check in 30 minutes early. The room itself was small and while there was an armoire in the room for hanging clothes, there was no place to put our folded clothes. The bathroom was also small and...

The choice of Almara House B&B for a stay in Galway turned out to be perfect. This B&B is located in the outskirts of Galway, easy to find and drive to. It is very convenient to downtown, there is a bus stop just right out front or a taxi into downtown is only 10 Euros. We had already booked a...

This is the first review I've ever left on Trip Advisor. That's how much I loved these people. This couple was amazing! Such a great local experience, very comfortable, great breakfast! Matt went above and beyond, he saw that my friends and I were about to go wait for the bus to go into town, and he insisted on driving...

My wife and I flew from Iceland to Dublin, then drove straight from Dublin to Galway and checked into the Almara House for the night. It was a welcoming and cozy stay. It was only a 5-10 minute drive with traffic to downtown Galway. The room was very clean with a nice bathroom. They had the best selection of tea...

Almara is a real gem of a B&B. The breakfasts is good and the little touches make this place stand out.Our host was helpful and accommodating when we asked for tips of where to eat, We really felt the place was great value. Most important things for us were ticked: Clean, comfortable and friendly. Would recommend Almara House for a...
