Wow. This is a sleek, chic urban hotel.
The front desk and restaurant staff is wonderful.
The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The bathroom is huge. Our room had two showers and a bathtub. Two sinks, a commode and a bidet. Wowsa

Hi, although it's a gorgeous hotel, The G isn't in the best location. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre and is built in a retail park. I'm not sure what kind of tickets you mean so can't help with that but there is a concierge desk so I'd imagine they would be helpful. I stayed midweek and found the bar area very quiet , I live in Galway and have actually never heard of any entertainment taking place there, except for maybe race week. To be honest there isn't much around it except for a pub across the road which would be livelier than the hotel . The hotel is across from Lough Atalia but to see Galway Bay you would need to head to Salthill which is around 15 minute drive. So for nightlife and sightseeing you will definitely be best to catch a taxi into town or walk if it is one of the rare days when it isn't raining!! Galway is a great place to visit and I'm sure you will a lovely stay.
