Frank really takes care of you at Petra House. Among all the other B&B's and Hotels around Galway it is a great place to stay. You can get a comfortable nights sleep and a very delicious custom ordered breakfast. Its just a short walk to all there is to see and do and every pub and restaurant in town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Galway, thanks in large measure to the hospitality of Frank and Joan at their wonderful B&B. The room was so quiet that we couldn't hear the rugby match a block away. The breakfast was sumptuous, there was internet access using their computer (a luxury to have a big screen after days of the iPod),...

I have mixed feelings. I want to stress that this B & B is a very nice place to stay, quiet, immaculately clean, and decorated beautifully. The owners/hosts are pleasant people and the included breakfast which they cooked themselves was ample, absolutely delicious and served in a very pretty dining room. While the shower was on the small side, the...

Petra House is a lovely B&B just a short walk from Galway's city center. Frank and Joan are wonderful hosts providing a warm welcome and a wonderful breakfast. They are both very helpful and cheerful. We had two rooms, a triple on the front and a double on the back. Both were comfortable and quiet. The makings for tea were...

Frank and Joan are lovely, they will look after you. The breakfast and room are excellent and great value. We came up from Cork for 1x night to attend a wedding and we were very happy here.

If you are like me, you like to stay in a place that is within walking distance to the city. Petra House fits that perfectly. The small parking lot keeps you from having to park on the street. My room was at the front of the house and I half expected to encounter street noise, but that was not the...

I stayed at Petra House with my mother and sister for 2 days and nights. It was my favorite place we stayed at during my trip to Ireland. First of all, the location is perfect. Close enough to the downtown area of Galway that you can walk (estimated 8 minutes), but far enough away from the noise and craziness. It...

This trip to Ireland was our first time to experience B&B's. After a wonderful time in Kenmare we arrived at Petra House in Galway. We were welcomed by Frank and shown to our comfortable and spacious room overlooking a pleasant view of Galway. We were tired after a long day and Frank recommended a restaurant a five minute walk away....

My husband and I traveled to Galway with our college-aged son for a weekend. When we arrived, Frank offered our son his own room, which was a complete surprise to us, because we had intended on sharing a room. Our breakfast was the best of all the B&Bs we stayed at and the hospitality of Joan and Frank was so...
