Stayed in Abbey Lodge for two nights and it was perfect. Room and bathroom were very clean. Was able to park in the small lot in front and never had to worry about my car during our stay. The host Maria was incredibly nice, always available, and never intrusive. To give an example, we actually spilled red wine on the...

Stayed here because of convenience to Rugby ground. Of late I have been wary of guest houses but I needed have worried here. I instantly formed a a positive opinion the moment I stepped over the doorway. It looked and smelt clear and fresh. Equally so was the bedroom. Breakfast ( not included) was freshly cooked and the choice of...

We stayed at this B&B on a Saturday in September 2016. (Three of us from the USA.) We arrived late in the afternoon with no reservation. The hosts were very accommodating, receptive and welcoming. There is off street parking in front and behind the B&B. The room and the B&B was very clean. The beds were new and comfortable (not...

Maria was a gem. The rooms were small but clean, beds were comfortable, Irish breakfast was big and delicious but continental breakfast was limited. I paid more for this room (€125) than any of the 5 others I stayed at throughout Ireland, and it was the smallest room with the longest walk to the city center (about 3 quarters of...

Although this was clean, I found this to be a very overpriced B&B. I had booked this through one of the travel sites and paid 120 Euro for 1 night. This did not even include breakfast - they wanted an additional 8 Euro per person. The room we had was on the 2nd floor, and after advising that I had...

This little guest house is wonderful, Maria there was so kind and welcoming and cooks an amazing Irish breakfast. Comfortable beds and within walking distance to the city centre. Parking was a little tight however lots of on street parking available

We had attic rooms C & D, which were up two flights of narrow stairs (no lift). Tight quarters with great windows that opened so you could stand and see the racing/rugby stadium next door. Not very noisy, even during races. No idea what it would be like during rugby games. Extremely clean, double bed is firm but comfortable; awfully...

An unusual (but great) problem to have, it was really sunny and warm when we visited Galway, but that made the room VERY hot. We only stayed one night & didn't have breakfast (felt it was too expensive for a small B&B when on a budget) but it was an ok location to explore Galway (20 min walk - ish!)

The room was nice and clean. The host was very nice and made our stay even better. Good distance from city center, not to far and not to close. Liked the dark bread at breakfast! Good information about things to do.

My wife and I were honeymooning in Ireland with our final stop being Galway city and Abbey Lodge. The price that we paid for the B&B was a bit outrageous, but I suppose that's the going rate during the races. Speaking of the races, if you're not there for the races then avoid Galway City at all cost! As for...
