Very good room, very good breakfast and Marian was very friendly and helpful in getting directions and making dinner reccommendations. It was winter in Ireland the day we were there so our room was cold but Marian made up for it with her warm personality. I would stay there again

Marian could easily have been the friendliest Irish we met on our trip. My father-in-law vowed to never stay in some ones "house", but after our experience at The Birches, he couldn't wait to return with his father! Very comfortable beds, topped off with a great breakfast. Thank you Marian!! Highly recommended!

After deciding last minute to come to Galway for a music festival, The Birches was the only B&B with an available room, but we could honestly have not have found a nicer place to stay. The wonderful owner Marion welcomed us with tea and scones upon arrival and was more than helpful in providing details of local public transport into...

We stayed here after visiting Galway on the way to the Cliffs of Moher. Great spot close to Galway. Much better than a hotel. Rooms werer spacious and the breakfast was great. Marian was a gracious host - I strongly recommend this great B&B.

My husband and I loved staying here and wished we could have stayed a second night. Marian was fantastically friendly and helped us pick a nice place to eat within walking distance of the house and she also called ahead and booked our B&B for the next night for us. We really enjoyed her pancakes (Americans would call them crepes)...

We really had a nice stay here in this bb, one of the best of our experience in Ireland. Marian has welcomed us in a really cozy house, our room was clean and well furnished in a lovely yellow. We had a very nice sleep, the district is really quiet. What was missing was the city, unfortunately the bb is...

Marian is a great hostess! She recommended a great Pub for dinner within walking distance in Oranmore. One of the best meals we had on our trip. Marian was also very helpful in suggesting a tour route for the following day which we followed to the tee and we were not disappointed. We came back late in the dark and...

I was traveling Ireland with my son. We were staying at B&Bs along the way. The Birches is off the main road but very easy to find. We were greeted by the owner and shown to our room promptly. She offered us tea and delivered it to our room while we were settling in. The town of Orenmore was within...

In a local neighborhood, close enough to Galway. Rooms clean, nice size, bathroom small, but had a hall bathroom that was larger. Hostess very friendly and accomodating, let us check in early and got up early to make us a filling breakfast for our long journey that day. Pleased with our selection.

Located within 2 mins of main bus stop. Hourly bus direct to the city centre in under 15 mins. B&B clean, warm and friendly , breakfast is a huge, keeps you going. Located not far from village, all is quiet and is a welcome break from the noise of the city. Ideal for friends who want to get away and...
