It's located about 8 minutes walk from DART station and about 20mins train ride to city. A few convenient stores and eateries along the way. Just about 2mins walk away from the bay (forty foot bay). About 20 mins walk to Dalkey heritage town. Very peaceful and convenient location. Owner Mike was very friendly! Makes the stay very pleasant and...

Really enjoyed the stay at this cosy B&B in a nice area. Close to the ocean and walking distance to shops, train and bus station. Service is friendly and personal, with a very nice "Irish breakfast" included... Overall a good experience, and will happily stay here again

Booked this B&B on the spur of the moment. Excellent Value for Money, Had a really long tiring journey via a few places and a lovely welcome from Mike and Margaret. Room was massive with three double beds really comfy and beautiful building. Mike asked us what time we would like breakfast at and it didn't disappoint. Some of the...

Stayed in Tara Hall for one night, on arrival Mike was very friendly and welcoming, the house is very tired looking and needs a refurb badly, its very old fashioned and needs updating, we booked a triple room which was very small, the bathroom was tiny, Mike served breakfast in the morning which was ok, their was a good selection...

Firstly I should stress that the owner could not be more helpful with his advice and he was very friendly. Also the Bed and Breakfast was in a perfect location to explore Dalkey. The fact that we could park was a bonus too. However the place is VERY tired, has certainly seen better days and is in need of a...

First of all I would like to thank Mike and Margaret for being so welcoming, helpful and informative. When we arrived we were shown to our room which was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our weekend break. The breakfast was very nice, plenty of different options from a cooked breakfast, fruits, yoghurts and all different kinds...

We were greeted and sent off warmly enough but saw only the cook and cleaning staff the rest of the time. The entire building was damp (mold on the bathroom ceiling) and full of odd smells. The location was pretty good, food was ok and the price was low, but these are not enough to entice us to return.

What a nice find with easy access to the DART, walking to the coast and Joyce museum, and right across the street from an excellent bistro. Suburban feel, quiet, watched schoolchildren walk to school in the morning. Private parking is tight but doable. Mike and Margaret are charming and put out a beautiful Irish breakfast. They were enamored with our...

The people were really helpful and nice, the place was warm, clean and comfortable. We felt we got good value for money compared with places in Dublin. It's also a good location, a short walk from the sea and it's easy to get into the city by public transport. Sandycove is a great little beach for children and The Joyce...
