We've been staying at this hotel for years long before it was taken over by Travelodge. It is usually the first hotel we look for when booking because of its location & suitability for our purposes, both Leisure & Business.
The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to many sites, including Trinity College. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Great price. The place was not luxurious but it was comfortable. The problem was the shower temperature control was inoperable and only put out…
We were staying with a friend to this hotel for the New Year. it was confortable and really well located. Quiet at night and with a cool restaurant for breakfast. That's not a 4* but really acceptable in term of quality. a bit expensive but surely dur to the holidays season...
The hotel had recently had a roof leak and there was wet carpets and damp smell on floor 3 with expsoosed wiring. Also the breakfast was the worst that I have ever had at a hotel(not run by travel lodge although advertised in rooms)
Hotel is ideal right in the city centre, the value is excellent, rooms are clean with plenty of space. Bathrooms are well equipped. For location you cant beat this, just off Grafton street with loads of shops and bars on your doorstep. Would recommend to all.
"Try to find a room where the windows actually fit"
"Don't eat at their restaurant! They have no bar. But, you can go to the "Hairy Lemon" right down the street."
"Very busy area and limited wifi - bring your headphones and travel modems."
"Take a room on a higher floor to avoid street noise."
