The staff are very friendly & accommodating. Our room was neat & clean...only some mildew in an overused shower & grungy floor tile in a tiny bathroom showed signs of age. Beds & linens were comfy...glad to have a room to accomodate 4 in Europe! Shower needs a recaulk due to heavy mildew. Vent fan over shower probably needs to...

Stayed in Adelphi for one night at the end of January. Booked a double room for one person and received a room that would sleep four...on arrival I was given a key with my room number on it and told it was upstairs, this was all the info I got as to where my room was. Also told that breakfast...

For starters, I shall say that this guesthouse is somewhat deceptive in its description on numerous websites. It states that each room has a phone and a TV...more like it has the POTENTIAL to have them. Our room had the fixtures, but not the actual contents. Also, be prepared to have your own towels as even though they also were...

Thank God I did not read previous reviews before booking. Overall Adelphi is not as bad as it is being painted and there is on- going renovation and improvement. I did not see any "bald" guy. Yes I could smell paint, the TV was ancient looking, so I did not bother putting it on. Breakfast was ok, kitchen staff were...

The pictures in the Adelphi Guesthouse on line are deceptive. The rooms are relatively clean, however very very small. We had requested a triple room and were basically given a double room where they added a third bed right underneath the wall mounted TV. The washroom was clean but the toilet did not flush properly. We were located on the...

We planned a trip to Ireland a few weeks in advance and booked several B&Bs across the country. The Adelphi reservation wasn't going through online so we e-mailed the guesthouse and explained the situation. They immediately responded that our reservation was guaranteed. When we arrived at Adelphi (after having a hard time finding it), a gentleman met us at the...

Overall a pretty good B&B ... but, 42 rooms and I ended up with the small one at the top of 4 flights of stairs. In fairness, it was the only double room available upon a walk-in - unreserved. Be sure to ask for room 40 the largest of the rooms in the middle of the building on level one.....

Dont be fooled for one second by the pictures you'll see on sites they use to sell rooms,I felt mislead by the pictures I'd seen when I booked it,having paid 255 euro for two nights i had expected a little bit more. Not even a hello when arrived just a grunt, do we have reservations from a bald guy with...

Although relatively clean, this guest house reminds me of student dorm rooms. The window was broken and I could not open it. Really inconvenient, especially when Dublin has afew of its rare sunny days. I did report it to the unfriendly bald guy, but he just give me a blank stare. Same reaction when I mentioned that the television does...

I regularly go to this guesthouse when I'm in Dublin (every month) as well in advance it can be quite cheap, and so well situated (in the city centre). Also it's easy enough to find a cab to the airport in Lower Gardiner Street. Luke is very nice and the night keeper lovely. It is safe as we need to...
