The good: Location is great. Staff seemed fine. The bad: Badly in need of a makeover. Twin room was very cramped, with an associated tiny bathroom. No hot water when I had a shower. I had a room at the "quiet" back. OK, there wasn't too much street noise, but plenty from the air con / generator machinery! Made worse...

The Central Hotel was a great choice for our 3 days in Dublin. Location allowed us to walk everywhere. There is a grocery across the street so we could grab breakfast every morning before heading out. Very close to many pubs/restaurants. Rooms/bathrooms probably have not seen an update in many years, but it was clean and had every necessity we...

Stayed for two nights over late May Bank Holiday with nine friends for a senior citizens version of a stag weekend. The hotel is perfectly situated both for sightseeing and for the incredibly busy nightlife.Whilst not modern by any standards the hotel has a comfortable feeling and our room was spotlessly clean -the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom perfectly...

Second time we stay at the central hotel. The main reason is its perfect location for a city trip in Dublin : you are in the Liberties, near Dame street, Temple Bar, Graffton street, etc. Busses from the airport or tours around Dublin stop near the hotel. When the night comes you are surronded by the magical nightlife atomsphere. If...

So, it's not the Ritz, and the beds are hard. But ... Fantastic location. The staff are great. Very clean! Quite good value, and The library bar ... VERY Irish and like a lovely club. Best of all, it's as close as you can get to my favourite bar in Dublin - Izakaya.

The hotel is old and retains some victorian charm, but needs a refurbishing. The chair in our room was so old the legs broke beneath my husband. He only weighs 170 lbs. The bathroom looked like it had a recent renovation but the workmanship was poorly done. Our room was spacious with high ceilings but bordered on seedy. The elevator...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Central Hotel and I would definately recommend this hotel to anybody that wants to be in the centre of Dublin, as EVERYTHING is within walking distance. It is located just off Grafton Street, which is a pedestrian walkway for all the main shops, and a stones throw from where...

Overall this hotel is a gem! In an amazing location it was within walking distance to many of the attractions and night life. For the price we paid what we got was excellent an average size clean room. What more do you want. The one big problem was how hot the room was we turned the radiators off but it...

I have stayed at The Central a number of times. I like it because it's an independent hotel and it's old style. I booked a double room but got a triple so it was very spacious. The room was to the front of the hotel so was not too noisy but we were next to the door leading to the...
