We booked this hotel on recs from TripAdvisor and other sites. Be warned that ratings are based on popularity, not necessarily actuality. Case in point, The Ashling was a clean, popular hotel. It's was also a good 30 minute walk from centre of Dublin, a hotel that services what appeared to be every bus tour from the USA, Germany and... More

Thank you for your comments about your recent stay at the Ashling Hotel. I was so pleased to hear that you found the hotel clean and the breakfast selection great. We are a very busy hotel, and at times we do have tours coming and going, so breakfast can get a little hectic. Thank you for saying that the hotel... More

Very competent and friendly people. Very good sized, well appointed and immaculately clean rooms. Car park but a bit awkward for access. Very good overall value for money. A fair "stroll" to get to the interesting downtown area - but that is good for you.

Decided to do something a bit different for our honeymoon so we went to Dublin and we're extremely glad we chose the Ashling for our stay. Stayed here Mon - Fri and I honestly can't find a fault, not one little thing! (And I regard myself as quite fussy!) Slept like a log at night, black out curtains were great! Staff friendly and welcoming. Always happy to help. Ice machine and water cooler on each floor level is a simple but great idea - and well... More

Have stayed here now on three occasions and never been disappointed. Lovely room, breakfast choice was great and good location as well. Staff were also very friendly and were only too willing to help - just what you need. I'll stay again next time I'm in Dublin.

Just came back from a long weekend stay at the ashling. The entrance reception and bar area is very nice and comfortable. Our room (505) was nice little dated but adequate for what we needed. I chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. Thankfully I was not led astray. I chose a room where all four of us could stay because it was cheaper than getting two separate rooms.
