The Ashling hotel is situated outside the centre of Dublin (so is quieter) but easily accessible by bus or tram (which stops outside the museum or train station - 2 minute walk from the hotel). We were unfortunate that the tram drivers were on strike when we stayed, so we opted to walk everywhere (20-30 minutes to the centre). The...

Just come back from a short break in Dublin staying at the Ashling Hotel. The Ashling is just outside the centre about 5 - 10 minutes walk to Phoenix Park across from the River Liffey and within walking distance of the Guinness Storehouse. The LUAS tram runs right outside the hotel and there are plenty of bus stops nearby including...

Comfortable and well cared for hotel with considerate, polite and caring staff. You are welcomed on arrival and throughout your stay with warm hospitality. I usually stay at the Gresham when in Dublin, but chose the Ahsling as my mother was ill in St James (a short walk away). I must say the ambiance at the Ashling puts the impersonal...

We arrived at the Ashling Hotel jet lagged and cold. We were greeted like family and immediately received our room. A lovely clean and comfortable living space with all the touches (tea, coffee and shortbread cookies) that count. Breakfast was amazing...don't miss it!
