I had booked this hotel 2 months in advance of our trip. I reserved it with my credit card in good faith. When I tried to find my confirming email, there wasn't one. I thought I might get one just prior to the trip, but didn't. I could not figure out the name of where I had made my reservation in order to check on things. Consequently, I made alternate plans. I even doubted that I had actually made a reservation. Well, I got an email after I got back that they charged me for 1 night because we were a no show. I emailed my situation and asked that they waive the fee. The reservation person emailed back and said the booking # is in the subject line of the email. Well, that didn't help because I didn't get an email till after we got back. Anyway, I think it was poor customer service and based on that I wouldn't recommend staying there.

Dear Mr/Ms Grossman, You've lost your confirmation email?! You've forgotten which hotel you booked?! You didn't show up?! With all due respect - where is the hotel fault in here?! Yes, you were charged a no-show as we were holding the room for you overnight. It is a standard policy for all hotels in the world. Kind regards, Jakub

We decided to try a Translink offer , two nights stay in Dublin. Warm friendly staff met us at the door, unfortunately our room wasn't ready and we were invited to stay in the lounge or go into the bar. The manager came a short time later and informed us our room was ready and our bags we're already in the room. Beautiful old town house with lots of character, immaculately clean. Service fabulous , buffet breakfast you couldn't fault ,fresh ,warm and tasty.

I came here for my 21st birthday with my parents and my boyfriend. It was the night Ed Sheeran was playing so we knew Dublin was going to be more expensive than usual so didn’t mind paying what we did for the two rooms. Upon arrival it was ok, just a standard hotel. Then, my mother went to have a lie down as she had a migraine and someone walked into the room unannounced (an employee). As if it wasn’t bad enough that it happened once, the same thing happened the next morning, someone walked into my room when I clearly had the do not disturb sign on the door. No manners or consideration for guests, no apologies. Now after the concert we were exhausted as we had to walk from Phoenix Park to the hotel as there was no taxis in sight (not blaming the hotel for this). Despite how exhausted we were, we did not get one wink of sleep. The windows are so old and outdated that you can hear every single noise from outside clearly. The hotel is across from a nightclub, bare in mind it was a Wednesday night, and all night we could hear the people outside and the music. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, when the night was over you could hear them cleaning up the streets, then when it started to get bright you heard the Luas every two minutes. As if that wasn’t bad enough, my parents stayed on the opposite side and they never slept either, there was a hotel IN the nightclub and they heard every single noise from it also. If you are going to be located here, your rooms should be more equipped to deal with the noise, the rooms should be cheaper. I have read some reviews mentioning earplugs. I never had any in my room and if I am going to pay over €100 for a hotel room for one night I should not need earphones. The most basic reason anyone stays in a hotel is to SLEEP and not one second of sleep did I get. Will never be staying here again, ruined my birthday for everyone was never as glad to get home. This may sound dramatic and like I am exaggerating but believe me I am not, I have never been so uncomfortable and exhausted in my life. The place should be closed down or updated.
2 Thank Rebecca R

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for the feedback and we are sorry for any inconveniences you experienced during your stay. Please note that information about hotel location and the fact that the hotel operates a nightclub are available on the hotel main page and all booking websites as below: "Because of the city centre location and the fact that the hotel operates a nightclub (on most nights of the week) and a beer garden, some rooms can suffer from noise. This is particularly, but not exclusively related to weekends. All rooms have earplugs supplied. " "This property may host on-site functions and some rooms may be affected by noise." "This property is located in a busy area and guests may experience noise." We do encourage our guest to ready hotel description carefully and acknowledge other guest reviews to avoid disappointment. Best regards, Jakub

Really nice hotel, staff were extremely helpful in every way and very friendly also, which helped to get us settled. It’s ideally situated with the luas passing the front door, there are busses very close too. It’s also close to shops and lots of bars and clubs, it even has its very own nightclub. We dined in the bar and were looked after very well by excellent staff. The hotel is very clean, the beds are very comfy and the rooms are very nicely presented and warm. I can highly recommend staying in this little gem.

Absolutely love this hotel! It's not just the venue - it's the staff that make the place special too. Yes it's lively here but it's also a great place to watch sport and relax with friends and family. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that's looking for a good time in Dublin. Each time we return; we make memories! Special thanks to the manager (Paul) for ensuring we had another amazing weekend.

Hi Timothy If you stay Thursday-Sunday it will be noisy. We stayed Monday-Wednesday and didn't hear any noise. Dublin is a city for eating & drinking so expect some form of noise wherever you stay in the city. Famous for... More
