Staff was friendly, hostile itself was quite small & could've been cleaner. Wasn't terrible for a quick long weekend trip to Ireland. I felt safe the entire time there which is important! I just wish there was more space in the rooms & the place was cleaner.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that you felt our hostel could be cleaner. We have a dedicated housekeeping team who work hard to keep the hostel clean, but obviously on this occasion we did not meet your expectations. We will use your comments to improve our standards. First time in a hostel, used for a group of lads on a weekend away, served a purpose as was very close to temple bar. Staff where really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and pointed out the less touristy areas.

I was very skeptical over staying in a hostel. Our room was small but clean the people at the front desk could not have been any nicer. It is literally crawling distance to the temple bar. Very secure too key acces - 24 hr front desk staff.

We stayed here 2 nights in a double room. The location was really great - right next to Temple Bar Pub. Beware if you are a light sleeper- it is noisy at night. The double room was very small and could have been a bit cleaner but was a great value.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hostel. Due to our central location we do get a certain amount of street noise, unfortunately this is out of our control, but we do offer free ear plugs for the light sleepers! We hope to welcome you back again to Barnacles Temple Bar in the near future. Best Regards The...

This is a basic hostel but the price reflects this. If you are looking for somewhere just to rest your head at a reasonable price, then you couldn't do much better than Banacles Hostel. It is clean and tidy and offers cooking facilities if you want to cook for yourself. It is ideally located within the centre of the Temple...

Great price (about $30 Canadian a night). Location was stellar as was the staff. The shower door was broken, made it hard to shower without soaking everything. It is very loud in temple bar, don't expect a quite nights sleep. :)

If you book a hostel and you expect hotel-standard comfort, you'll be disappointed. The fact is that this place is really good, clean, the position is excellent and the people who work there are nice, friendly and helpful. I've had worst experiences in places that call themselves hotels! I spent three nights in a room with 4 bunk beds, so...

I recently organised a stag do to Dublin for 20 people. We stayed 1 8bed dorm, 1 11bed dorm and one twin room. The dorm rooms were great value but the twin room was basic and expensive for what it was. We stayed for 2 nights. On the Friday the hostel had no hot water as they were busy and...
