This site really is in the heart of the Temple Bar district. Public spaces and kitchen area were great. Great location, and staff were accommodating in addressing my room assignment when a bachelor party of 9 arrived.

Me and 9 other lads stayed here for 2 nights a couple of weekends ago. First impressions we were a bit worried but when we saw our room and realised how brilliant the location was then there was no other complaints from the group. We had 2 rooms with 3 bunk beds in. The rooms are basic with a shared...

I chose to stay here because of the central location in Temple Bar and walking distance to the major sights, including Trinity college and Dublin castle. The facilities were clean and well maintained. They have lockers for each bed, you just need to bring your own lock. There is free continental breakfast and coffee. They also offer door to door...

Stayed here for one night in January 2017 for a concert in a private room. Was a reasonably pleasant stay (basic facilities, was put into a bunk bed room even though I requested a double bed). All was going well up until we checked out and I realised I left a piece of expensive equipment behind me. Phoned the hostel...

We booked 2 rooms of 4, for our all female party of 8. Both ensure rooms and at our email request we next door to each other. The rooms are basic, bunk beds, mirror, wardrobe and ensuite - cheap and cheerful. We paid €400 for two nights for 8 people, that fact that we were right in the centre of...

Great location right in the heart of the city. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic with a bed and bathroom. Was a little cold as heating seemed to be timed through the staff. Decent quality breakfast included. Lots of activities put on by hostel. Overall decent stay!

I really want to rate Barnacles a 5, but I'm not sure I can since the cleaning crew took my towel. It wasn't a biggie, and one of the front desk staff offered to let me take another towel, but the towel I brought was actually the one I wanted (I had cut and hemmed it to make it smaller/easier...

When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to a 4-bedroom dorm; however, the room was freezing cold because the skylight widows did not close completely. It was clear that other guests had complained and that is why the room was vacant and given to us. After talking with the staff, we were able to move to...

Had a great time at Barnacles! The location is definitely their greatest asset, although it does keep you from a good night's sleep sometimes (but i didn't mind). Lovely people, would recommandeer to everyone!
