Unfortunately I have to echo other reviews regarding unfriendly check in staff, a noisy, draughty and overpriced room. Receptionist did not make eye contact but continued to search for phone charger during our conversation. No friendly Irish welcome or Happy Christmas greetings during check in here. Good nightlife, barstaff and food but I advise to check out other accommodation options...

If you want a great Monday night out for 5 euro then you wont beat the Hot House Big Band at the Mercantile. The musicians were all top players who meet on a Monday to keep the music and the spirit of big band music alive. The place was really busy and the crowd were all ages. The music and...

I am sorry to have to write a negative review but we had an unpleasant experience staying in this hotel. We had already spent one night in the Citi hotel across the road and had a very good experience. We decided to stay another night in the area as the location was great but had to move hotels. We paid...

I had the misfortune to be booked in here by my company for a weeks training, it def was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The room was damp, bathroom was mouldy and dirty and the general appearance was very tatty. They provide ear plugs when you arrive and there is a good reason, if you want...

We stayed here for one night having booked one hotel in Drumcondra and finding it was too far away from a venue we were visiting. The Mercantile looks ok from the outside, it's more than a collection of rooms than a hotel but can't knock it for that. Has a small but interesting reception. The room was ancient. From the...

Upon arrival rude memeber of staff, after advertising everywhere 11am check in then tells us it's 3pm, wouldn't accept to watch bags or allow us to put bags in room whilst cleaning. Also as we were leaving early Sunday morning we asked if we could cancel breakfast for our room, she replied no. When come back at 3pm after specifically...

I have stayed at various hotels in Dublin on numerous occasions over the last 12 years and I have always fancied staying at the Mercantile as we have drank in the bar lots of times and found the drink, staff and music to be fab and as before we found this to all be the same but unfortunately the same can...

we were taken here on a pub crawl of 60+ people and everyone fitted in no problem, the atmosphere was amazing, bars everywhere so no problem getting served, food area was separate to other places so not busy in one place alone, good all round place to go as a group, alone or as a couple. It was beautifully decorated...

Ate here while in Dublin. Food was really good. The kids had chicken coujons with proper pieces of chicken! The bar had a nice atmosphere and was a good location for a pit stop when heading to Grafton Street.

I've been to the pub only, but it was very nice. All staff was very helpful, good service even though it was overcrowded. Food was okay, would personally eat somewhere else next time. The cook said, little bit lower quality was due to the event. They changed my food after a complaint (fish&chips greasy and cold) without any hesitation. Overall...
