Stayed for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Amazing location & no problem with noise despite staying there during haloween. My only issue was the rather archaic “give key in when you leave” rule. No problem when you leave but when you need to wait 10 minutes to wait for reception to finish checking people in to get your key...

Postives: Great location if you are looking for somewhere central , Temple Bar just a 2minute walk, O'Connell Street just on the other side of the river. Breakfast is included in the price (this was unexpected as I'd only paid 17euro for the night) As I was running in the DCM , I just wanted access to a microwave which...

Stayed here for three nights during the marathon, was a great location, right in the middle of the city. There breakfast and wifi included, and only cost €34 which is great value for money. Staff were very helpful, and were willing to answer as many questions of which I had a lot. Great place to meet new people. Would definitely...

I've stayed in a lot of hostels recently and the staff in this one in particular were amazing. I'm not sure which staff member it was, but I've just watched a guest have a panic about losing her wallet and said staff member talked her through it, helped her out and calmed her down. He empathised with her situation and...

This is really great. Ten euros and I have outlets above my bed!!! Plus wifi and cooking facilities and not even a hint of smell like other hostels I have stayed in. This is an 18 bed dorm and extraordinarily clean! The staff has a greasy sense of humor and really went out of their way to book my trip...

We were four and went for the 4bed room with private bathroom for one night! Staff was friendly and for what you pay this is a decent hostel in the centre of the town! Basic breakfast is offered which a nice extra!

I have stayed at Ashfield House twice, once on each trip to Ireland. The location is awesome- right up the street from Trinity College and an easy walk to Temple Bar (or anywhere, really). Conner at reception was there in 2012 when I stayed, and again this time- super funny and it just puts you in a good mood to...

When we came to Dublin we had absolutely no idea where to go and somehow we ended up at Ashfield House which was the best thing that could have ever happened to us. The atmosphere is very relaxed and not as busy and hectic as in other hostels. The warm welcoming of Connor was the best first impression of Ireland...

I stayed here when I first visited Dublin and would recommend it to everybody. Staff is welcoming, friendly and happy to help in any possible situation, breakfast is better than in all hostels I've ever been and the area around reception is huge, atmosphere is warm, yet peaceful and the hostel is situated in the very center - just 2...

I stayed here with my sister for 3 nights in early September 2014 as we travelled around the UK and Ireland. We booked a twin private and were given a four bed dorm on level 3 facing D'Olier St. The windows when closed don't block the street noise at night, in which there is A LOT, given its location on...
