This was a lovely B and B with a welcoming hostess, delicious breakfast and comfortable accommodations. Quiet, close to the US embassy and Herbert Park, it's just a short walk to Baggot street with stores and restaurants or to Donnybrook Fair grocery. It's also an easy walk or bus ride to Dublin city center and Grafton street. There's a nice...

A truly fantastic find among many similar offered. The host Theresa is very kind, considerate and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for our party of four adults and two children. An Extremely clean and inviting B & B, luxurious lounge and dining room. Bedrooms were good sized with lovely en-suites. A hearty breakfast was served on warm plates, tea...

Teresa has a lovely home! Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. And Teresa was so accommodating, letting us into the room earlier and loaning cables and convertors. Oaklodge is in a very nice neighborhood, within short walking distance to great pubs and restaurants, as well as busses and downtown Dublin. We would recommend Oaklodge to everyone!

Extra service, Mary fixes everything for us. Excellent breakfast, comfy beds, good lunch pack, perfect Irish coffees, so much hospitality. Mary can wash and dry clothes also if needed. Book restaurants, book taxi and really take care of us.

Hi. While I would like to take credit for this excellent review I think it would be unfair for Mary not to get the benefit. You have sent this review to the wrong Oaklodge. My bed and breakfast which is in Dublin has the same name. I know Mary as I come from Portumna originally. If you have occasion to...

I loved staying at Oaklodge B&B! I had a small room to myself on the 3rd floor with a twin bed, night stand, dresser, and a sink and mirror. Sharing the bathroom facilities (a 1/2 bath and a full bath on the 2nd floor) was not an issue whatsoever- the entire B&B is very clean. Rooms are tidied/bed is made...

We visited Irelands capital for 4 days, sleeping 3 nights at the Oaklodge BnB. After a couple of days on the wicklow way we also stayed one more night in a hotel at Temple Bar/City centre, so we're also able to compare both accomodations. The Oaklodge BnB is situated in Ballsbridge, in a quiet small street offside the main roads....

Thank you for taking the trouble to write a review on Oaklodge. it is always helpful to hear back from our guests after they leave . I particularly appreciate your comments re "keeping the right distance from guests". This can be a very fine line to judge. I generally take the lead individually from my guests. This is an excellent bed and breakfast in a quiet upmarket residential area of Donnybrook just under 2 miles from Dublin City Centre. It is within a 5 minute walk of a number of good restaurants. Although (as with most of Dublin) there are on street parking restrictions in force there is parking spaces for 2 cars in the front...
