Just returned from a 3 night stay over new year, what a perfect hotel this is. Arrived by taxi from Dublin airport (approx. 25 euros and a 15-20 min drive). Was presented with a spacious entrance and brightly lit escalators. Reception is on the 3rd floor - check-in was a breeze. Our room was on the 6th floor so we...

I recently stayed here with my partner. Check in was nice and quick, very polite staff. The room was superb. I was very impressed when I walked into it, we were over looking the garden and it was fab. But the best surprise of all was the complimentary prosecco, ginger bread men and candy sticks that were left in our...

The Gibson Hotel is a stylish hotel. The guest rooms are comfortable, as are the common areas (bar and restaurant). The biggest drawback is that there are not many restaurants and shops in the immediate area. Although the hotel is only a 10-15 minute pleasant walk along the water to get to food and shops, in the cold/rain, you'll definitely...

My friend and I spent a night here when we went to a show in the three arena. The room was great, spacious and contemporary. Walk in shower was lovely. Where I felt the hotel was disappointing was in the bar. We went in for a drink and food before the show. I tried to get the attention of the...

Stayed here for our anniversary and the staff provided cupcakes and a bunch of roses for the occasion! The location is a little out of the city but is easily reachable by the Luas and so this was not a problem! Staff were wonderful and we had a great time here!

This hotel is great to look at and the Luas stops right outside which is great as it is a good 10min walk down some shady back streets into town. We were visiting Dublin and we went to The Gibson on a friends recommendation for a bite to eat. It turned out to be a very bad decision on our behalf. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chic and understated with a music pedigree that runs deep, the gibson hotel Dublin is the ultimate urban retreat. Music lovers, art junkies, food fanatics - whatever your passion it's right on our doorstep. We do sleeping, meeting, dining, gigging, touring, wedding and relaxing really really well. We mix all these things with a fresh, energetic, slightly off centre approach and we know it works. Exhibitions, supporting local artists, urban weddings and the odd celebrity are elements of what makes us different to the normal Dublin Hotel. You will find our staff friendly, responsive and happy - there is a secret to this that we can't possibly share. The gibson hotel is the ideal location to explore the city and planning your stay is easy. The M1 and M50 are 8 minutes away via the Port Tunnel and we have ample covered parking for our guests. With the luas stop right outside our front door Connolly train station is only 8 minutes away and Heuston train station is a short 20 minutes from the hotel. The Luas will take you to the City centre in 10 minutes or if you prefer to take in the views of the River Liffey a brisk 15 minute walk along the quays will bring you to O'Connell street, the heart of Dublin city. Great beds, 100MB complimentary WiFi, a gym, relaxation area, restaurant, bar and meeting space are all part of the deal. The gibson hotel is modern yet comfortable, it's different and it's better, it's large, it's friendly and it's a building that is alive with great people from the moment you set foot until the moment you leave. ... more   less
