My wife & I stayed here one night whilst meeting some friends. Our friends are actually doing a course in Dublin & have been using the Morehampton as their base one weekend each month. It's in a nice well to do area of Donnybrook. Some nice shops & a few good pubs. There is limited parking at the rear but... More

This was a memorable stay in the wrong way. On walking in the door I was told by the receptionist to move my car from the car park as I had not booked parking. In fact, I had, and fortunately had the email with me to prove it. So I was allowed to park instead outside their hostel across the... More

Dear mct1, Thank you for taking the time to write. We try to make it as clear as possible in the written description for a compact single room that they are compact, we apologies and perhaps we need to change the current description. We ask guests to reserve parking in advance, we have free car parking and additional free spaces... More

This is a big old house that is badly in need of a major refurb. Bits and pieces have been added over the years and the electrics and plumbing needs an overhaul. The night we stayed the fire alarm went off at 7.30 am. The location was OK for the function I needed to attend, but would not stay again.

Dear Rocman2, we are very disappointed to read your review. The house dates back to 1865 and requires ongoing maintenance. Because it was used as a school in 1875 it has many unusual features, and we maintain throughout the year at regular intervals. It is loved by many and we would be delighted if you could visit again and perhaps... More

Located in Donnybrook, which is an upmarket leafy suburb about 30 minutes walk from Dublin City Centre. I did not expect much, as it's marketed as a guesthouse rather than a hotel and the price was about half of that quoted in nearly hotels on the same date. But I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in a single room which... More

This B&B is in an excellent location in Dublin City, it's right in Donnybrook which is a smart village/suburb with several nice restaurants & bars. Marco Pierre White's restaurant, O'Connells restaurant (run by Darina's Allens brother) and Rolys are all a short walk plus other bars with excellent food. The B&B is a town house with several floors but also... More

It looks great on paper- a beautiful building in a lovely Dublin suburb close to the gorgeous Herbert Park. But for €135 a night I would expect hotel standard accomodation. This is a beautiful period house but the facilities are so basic and the atmosphere so cold that it negates this one advantage. The staff had no interest in talking... More

Prices were lowest in the selected period. In front of the accommodation goes direct line connected to the airport. Distance from the center and poor interior. Rooms are not adapted to your hotel stay, a sewer pipe going through the room. The rooms are reconstructed and improvised.

Ideal for a student couple looking for a cheap getaway! The room was very spacious and the car park was so handy in a city where parking seems to be painfully expensive or non existent! Free Wifi and friendly enough staff!
