Stayed in this B and B for three nights over bank holiday weekend. Lovely room, very clean with tea and coffee making facilities. Very friendly owner, Sheila. Great cooked breakfast in the mornings. Close to town and all the shops. Great place to stay.

As soon as we came in the door we were made feel welcome, host was welcoming, attentive and we couldn't fault in any way. Clean, tidy and all you need in the room. Breakfast was lovely. If we are to stay in Donegal town again it would definitely be here.

The Railway Lodge was a lovely, clean and friendly place to stay while I was recently in Donegal for two days and nights. Very friendly and attentive host with delicious breakfast. The en-suite room was warm, comfortable, and quiet and had refreshments including tea/coffee facilities and biscuits. It was the same price but much much nicer than the place I...

Unassuming from the outside, but comfortable and homely - which was a nice change from sterile hotel rooms. Gillian was really welcoming and did all she could to make me comfortable and point out facilities I may like to visit/eat/drink at. Well situated to explore the town on foot. Was very quiet for me, but there wasn't anyone in the...

This was our second visit to the Railway Lodge. Can not beat the convenience to the town, price, service, friendliness, etc. Rooms were clean and neat and Sheila was an excellent hostess. We had rooms on 3rd floor this time vs 2nd last time which is a bit of a hike if you have heavy suitcases. If we come back...

This is our local pub with grub and a restaurant. Jacks was a famous Kells landmark which closed for years and now under the management of Victoria and family is buzzing again. Great atmosphere and grub. Don't pass Jacks by.

After working a 16 hour shift, I was informed by the owner that my room was given away. I rang earlier that day to let them know I wouldn't be finished work until 18:00, when I rang for directions at 7:30, she told me my room was given away "because I didn't show up at 6". I totally understand that...
