Stayed here twice (once with my husband, again with my son), and the service, food and accommodations just can't be beat. Very friendly hosts, awesome food and nice ambience. On our second trip last summer, our changing plans were easily accommodated. The location is great - there's everything to like about this B&B. Can't wait to cross their doorstep again.

Our family of six were well accommodated at this lovingly restored home. Our first difficulty was actually finding the best route to approach the building. Once we figured out the street restrictions around the area we were finally able to get to the parking area provided in front of the house. Instructions on best approach would be helpful for future...

Una and Dominic were great...very personable and helpful with activities. Rooms were very spacious. Great breakfast whenever we were ready for it. Excellent value for the "big city". We were a group of 6 with a big van and they accommodated us/it very well.

We stayed here on our tour of Ireland and it was the greatest B&B we have ever stayed at. The breakfast is home cooked and the staff were the most friendly people. We have stayed at many B&B around Europe and this was our favorite. Will stay again.

The hosts were very hospitable and accomodating, and breakfast was excellent. Even though we came as a couple, we were given a very spacious family room. For tourists, the location is a downside; The B&B's is 15-20 walk to the city center, however buses are frequent and easily accessed. The room was just okay. The bathroom was quite musty and...

Stayed at Acton Lodge for 3 nights recently. I shared a room with my mum (number 5) & family friends in another room (number 1). Both rooms were good size and ensuite, warm & cosy! Number 1 was more modern (new bathroom) 2 single beds; 1 king size bed, sofa and arm chair as well as a wardrobe & flat...

Stayed in Acton Lodge for two nights when visiting Cork on a last minute business trip. Greeted at the door by Una, the lady of the house, who was very friendly throughout my stay and eager to assist with any queries I, or other guests, had. Room was good size, smelt fresh, clean sheets and fresh towels laid out for...

Our first introduction to Ireland and the B&B was not quite up to the standard we had become used to in UK. The room although generous size was drab and grubby looking with stains on the carpet. Our hosts though were friendly and welcoming and quickly parked our car for us. The first morning our breakfast was good but the...

room was sparse, major damp problem, no coffee/tea making facilities and the road was load. Would have been more than happy with it were I 18, a traveller and paying 30 rather than over 70euros a night. breakfast was good and owner was friendly

An enjoyable stay at Acton Lodge on a recent trip to Cork. Una & Dominic made us very welcome & were very friendly. The breakfast's were wonderful ! The room in the back house was light & airy & very comfortable. Located within easy walking distance of the city centre. I would definitely stay there again.

Thank Kate W
