Our little dog was rushed into a vet in Cork for emergency surgery We needed a place to stay nearby and at short notice Avril and Tony couldn't have been more helpful Their house was perfect, spotless and warm. A wonderful choice of breakfasts all with home made bread and scones Would highly recommend Thanks. Susan and James Griffin

Stayed with my father in law for 3 days in the downstairs bedroom. As soon as we arrived (hours early) we are greeted as friends, Tony gave us a 30 min run down of the sights - including pointing out some must sees in the city, and we were welcomed to check in early. The breakfasts prepared in the morning...

All B&Bs should model themselves on this one. Personal, friendly service, comfortable beautifully decorated room and delicious breakfast selection. I'm going to be recommending this place to everybody.

After a very long drive from Belfast I was greeted with a smiling and friendly face and was shown my room, which was decorated so beautifully and was very tidy and clean. Tony and Avril gave me a map of Cork and recommended somewhere nearby to eat. I had a comfy night's sleep and a very tasty breakfast. I would...

This is a most appealing B&B, very well located and ideally placed for University College. The welcome and hospitality are great, and breakfasts are served in a light, attractive dining room, with good food and relaxed service. I must add that Avril could not have been more helpful when I'd lost my watch, tracking it down after I'd left and...

I have stayed on a number of occasions in recent weeks and can highly recommend. Avril and Tony go above and beyond to provide a warm and genuine welcome. You barely step inside the door before they're asking would you like a tea/ coffee/ their delicious homemade scones. The rooms are very nice, location super. I really don't have anything...

This could be a spectacular B & B. However, it does require a lot of updating and some quality furniture to measure up to other B & B's in Ireland. Travelers' expectations have changed and they have to take a good look at the rooms. Ours was very small with a desk with the veneer peeling off like paper. A...

My stay at Fernroyd was very nice. Pleasant room, comfortable bed with anti-allergy bedding, delicious breakfast, and very welcoming hosts. Appreciated the hot water kettle in the room with plenty of coffee and tea, and looking out onto the lovely garden was a treat. Guests were respectful of each other. Proximity to university campus and the center of town; close...

This is such a cute B&B in the best location in Cork. My boyfriend and I walked everywhere we went. This B&B is so incredibly hospitable and friendly! The breakfast is amazing - homemade scones are awesome. They are truly wonderful hosts and made sure we had an excellent time in Cork!

My sister and I stayed at Fernroyd house for two nights in September. We accidentally made our reservations for one day behind and they were still able to accommodate us for our stay in a different room each night. The location was within walking distance of town. Rooms/bathrooms were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious! Tony and Avril do...
