After originally being a bit daunted by the difficult access (we approached from coming uphill then went past & entered driving downhill to make it easier) & the slope of the car park, we received a warm friendly welcome on arrival with lots of advice & a map as to how to spend our evening in Cork. There are discounts...

I couldn't have asked for a better experience, there is not many places like this for value, service, location and real quality. What a great location, 10 x mins walk to city centre, bus and train. What a lovely building with great rooms, gardens, views and history. The breakfast was 5 x star, great choices of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses,...

A weekend break at a good rate was very enjoyable. Goodbreakfast and friendly staff. Even though I was a solo traveller I was given a nice spacious double room. A maid confirmed that 112 - 113 - and 114 were the best with City views.

Booked for one night needed somewhere near railway station. First impression ok clean reception, rang for attention and was greeted and booked cab for early next morning. As I had an early appointment and always worry about not waking to my alarm asked if it was possible to have early morning call? The receptionist said that in that case she...

In my view this is a very overpriced B and B. We paid nearly €120 and stayed in a small room which was up three flights of stairs. The room was a little grim and the bathroom was tiny. The common areas were fairly tatty and the dining room was very untidy. No sound proofing and an uncomfortable bed made for...

Arrived early Saturday morning and luckily we were able to have breakfast. Good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc. I had the scrambled egg and salmon which was tasty although on the following 2 days I had the full cooked Irish which was good and I especially loved the white pudding. From the minute we arrived the staff were really...

Simple accommodation is coupled with friendly staff and good service. The laid back atmosphere means People can use the closed restaurant as a space to relax in the evenings. Access to tea and coffee is supplies and there's nothing like it to start conversations in this communal space! Highlight of this guesthouse is the delicious breakfast. The simple enough buffet...

Lovely Guesthouse within walking distance of central Cork, Kent Train Station and St Lukes. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Cork. The staff are particularly helpful and go the extra mile to make you enjoy the stay. Good breakfast selection, cooked to order.

Fifth visit. We've been for the last 5 years, in October, for the Guinness jazz festival. Good location on the edge of everything that's going on, as long as you are OK with a short walk uphill. Staff are great, really friendly and helpful. Comfy rooms (in the process of a refurb), great choice at breakfast, with homemade bread &...

On arrival the first thing you are welcomed with is a big welcoming smile. The lady at reception greeted us and explained everything before we went to our lovely spacious bedroom. The room had two good size windows overlooking Cork. It was clean and had all the usual facilities plus tea and coffee. Wi-fi was free and good. Breakfast the...
