We spent one night at Emerson House and thought it was really charming. We'd driven in and it was easy to find, on a tiny cul-de-sac off a main road. Cyril, the owner, popped out to greet us while we were parking and was very friendly and helpful. He showed us up to our large and beautifully decorated room, gave...

I called to make a booking for myself and a friend for a Saturday night. A vacancy came up due to a cancellation which I accepted. A while later I got a text to say that someone else had since rung and was going to stay two nights so my booking was cancelled (I was just staying one night). I...

We greatly enjoyed our recent 4-night stay at Emerson House. Breakfasts are huge and delicious. Free wi-fi is very reliable. Cyril, the owner, is welcoming and helpful - but never intrusively so. The b&b is a short 10-minute walk from the city center. If we're in Cork again, we would love to return to Emerson House.

This is the best B&B in Cork city, in a great location close to the train station with amazing views. The rooms are very spacious and attractively furnished. The bed and pillows are extra comfortable. The breakfast is superb. Not to forget the warmth, attention to detail and wonderful customer care provided by the owner Cyril. Emerson House is a...

I stayed at Emerson House in 2006. When booking to return to Cork for September 19-22, 2015 I immediately knew I wanted to stay here again. Host, Cyril is friendly, knowledgeable, sincere and prepares the most delicious full breakfast including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toasts, eggs, bacon, sausages and more. Our room was large, clean and a very comfortable bed....

This was our third stay at Emmerson House and we had a great time – you’re within walking distance of everything that goes on in Cork city. You’re staying in a very comfortable guest house with a view over the city and River Lee and its got a very pleasant feel of quaint Irish house with lots of interesting bits...

My stay at Emerson House was completely comfortable. I slept in two different rooms during my stay - both comfortable and elegantly appointed. The bathrooms were clean and on the smaller side. Cyril was very warm and personable - and when he found out when I was going to Blarney Castle, offered me a ride since he was heading in...

We had a lovely time staying at this guest house. The view over the city and river was beautiful. We had a very large double room with hard wood flooring and some rugs. The room was well equipped and very bright because of the two large windows. The host Cyril was a lovely gent. He even dropped us at the...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Emerson House ind Cork... My room was awesome and so big and lovely, the breakfast and the living room were amazing, too! But the best at the house is the housekeeper himself who does everything to make you feel comfortable and like eyeing at home! Every morning he signed me a map and...
