I booked in at the Windsor for my 6 friends and I two weeks before our stay. On the day of arrival there was no record of our booking. Panic, but they did spend the next 20 minutes ringing around looking for other accommodation and offered us a frend round of drink. So please confirm your booking the day before,...

Our room was horrible. It was damp, smelly, the carpet hadn't been hoovered, the furniture was stained, broken and dirty, the wallpaper and paint was coming off the walls, there were damp patches on the walls and ceilings. It was absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website. As far as we could see there was no fire exit on...

As a canadian, I purchased a weekend gift certificate for a family member living in Ireland. the purchase was made as a Christmas gift in 2009. The purchase was made from Mr. Michael Hannafin at the Windsor Inn. The gift certificate was never sent and after several international phone calls and emails, Mr. Michael Hannafin promised to refund my money....

was in cork for just one night and needed a cheap place to crash. this fit the bill perfectly! great location, super friendly staff and good value for money. the room itself was just ok- it had a stale smoky smell, needed updating and the tv didn't work (tho it's entirely possible that maybe i was doing something wrong). the...

The Windsor Inn was the kind of place you want to like simply because of the good location and the lovely staff....however, you cannot ignore the facilities needing a facelift. The place is a bit dingy. There are loads of stairs which makes dragging your luggage up to the room a little tough. The room was huge and seemingly recently...

Clean, Nice, Friendly staff, Although me and my friend, went to the cinema that night, but when we returned, the bathroom door was locked, (u can only lock it with a key or from the inside) and there was tissue stuffed in the key hole, so we were rather freaked out, so we went down to reception, they were glad...

Bed - very comfortable. Breakfast - delicious (except there was neither fruit nor yoghurt on the first morning, and yoghurt was hidden in the fridge on second morning). Room - hmmm. What can I say. First room - broken window in room, broken window catch in bathroom. Bathroom door did not shut, bathroom heater did not work. Bedroom carpet filthy....

Good B&B, Good breakfast, Popular bar (with the locals to), Friendly staff, A minutes walk to the city Centre and bus station, Irish music most nights in the hotel bar. Recommend Clancy's for good value food. Dont recommend the Indian restaurants in Cork (Little India in particular was quite possibly the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to...

Went down to Cork for a friend's 30th recently and booked into the Windsor. The main attraction was the price which I thought was extremely reasonable considering the central location. On arrival we were warmly greeted by one of the owners who was more than helpful and carried our bags up to our room. He also pointed us in the...
