I feel bad saying it because the ladies at the front desk were really nice. But it's been one of the worst stays in recent memory and I've been traveling this time for 2 months +. The room was incredibly small. The pillows were orientated so that all our head would be in 1metre of each other. There might be...

So disappointed with our stay in the apartments here. Apartment was fine. There was a party outside my window until 4:30am. My bedroom windowsill was used as a smoking chair all night by people, I could actually hear clearly every conversation, at least it passed the 5 hours I had lying awake. My kid was terrified of 'the monsters' :...

Let me start by saying that I stay in hostels often when I travel so my expectations are never high but I'll outline the pros and cons for you. Pros: Location - to me the location was handy 5-15 min walk to everything I needed and Cork is relatively easy to navigate. Yes there is a hill on York Street,...

Unfortunately our stay in Sheilas was very bad. All the night noise from neighbours , door slammed and shout. No hot water in the room (pointed at the receptionist) Around 4 am the police came and took one guy away because apparently he stolen some money to a woman. No apologize during the check out and no compensation for nothing....

Hostel with good service and friendly staff, close to the main train and bus stations (which is handy, if you have no car and to visit around : Cobh, Kinsale, etc... and it's really easy to walk to the city centre from there, and you have a live bar music 5 minutes away.

Extremely friendly and chatty staff without being too in your face. They really make you feel at home and help with everything. Bedroom was cosy, heating turned on in the early morning, bedsheets clean, lovely lounge and common room. Only flaws are a lack of women's only bathrooms and washrooms but I think that's just because this place must have...

Nice Hostel within short work of the centre of Cork with pleasant staff. Shiela's also offers a discount at a few nearby restaurants and bars, the downside is the uphill hike to get there. The private rooms are a little small, with no table / storage space (mine also had a skylight - no window - so limited ventilation), but...

Now we have mastered getting up that hill with Kate bush and by the way if you have suitcases it's impossible. You are met by well we will ignore that matter, up big stairs no lift to room. Dark dingy lack of sockets no bathroom dirt everywhere. The list goes on and on and on. The place was so skank...
