Stayed one night with a friend and really loved the place. It's very pricey though. The staff are what really make it. I've stayed in 5 star hotels before and found some to be very pretentious which was definitely not the case here. All staff that I encountered were very friendly, natural and genuinely interested in talking to you especially...

Our stay in Hayfield was my first time just going to a hotel as a break in itself, I'd usually just use a hotel as a place to stay! You are made feel so welcome from the minute you arrive and almost feel a bit lazy for everything they do for you. My girlfriend thought it was the best massage...

This is one hotel that really deserves its five star rating. My husband and I stayed the weekend of 30 January to 1 February and were reluctant to leave. On arrival we were greeted by Frank, concierge and "Fear-an-Tí" - man of the house, who was very helpful in all sorts of ways throughout our stay. Check-in is informal, at...

We've been to a few so called 5 star hotels, but the Hayfield is the only one I would consider a real 5 star. The welcome is warm, staff are excellent, food is delicious, spa is relaxing, rooms are spacious and spotless with huge fluffy white towels on heated racks. You are made to feel special. Drinks in the garden...
