Had to pop down to Cork for work in June and stayed here. Wonderful location right on the South Mall and close to all amenities. This hotel is not one of the identikit chains, it has been around for 200+ years and has all the quirks that you would expect of such a hotel. That said it is very comfortable,...

Stayed here for a quick midweek visit to Cork, booked through website on which a few added extras were suppose to be in our room that weren't there but we didn't mind. We ate in the bar, food was delicious, and staff were very friendly, however the place was a little understaffed as we waited quite a while for drinks....

Stayed here for two nights at the start of August. The hotel is beautiful. Old style tea room, modern restaurant and bar. The food in both the bar and restaurant was really good. Our room was generous in size and had all expected comforts. The staff were friendly and helpful and we will stay here again.

The Imperial Hotel is perfectly placed in the heart of Cork city - very close to the city centre and a short walk from the bus and rail stations. The staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel including the amazing Escape Spa which I highly recommend if you are in need of relaxing and pampering....

We had such good hopes for this Hotel, but when we arrived we could not pull up to the hotel as there was a bunch of giant buses blocking the entrance, we had to park in a parking lot 10 min walk away and then pay 9 euros per night extra. we requested a room with a double bed and...

Stayed for one night in an executive room - what a great room! Lots of space and a huge, very comfortable bed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly in all parts of the hotel. Very close to shopping areas and to some lovely restaurants. The only downside is the offsite carpark - especially in the rain!

We spent a long weekend here for a family wedding a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the stay. The Hotel is in the best location in Cork City and is a very busy spot. All the staff we encountered were excellent, and really helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable if not very big -...

I love the Imperial bar Souths and often go there on my own or with friends. The ambience is great and the seating really comfortable and attractive. I have only gripe and that is that they really need to improve the quality of the chips they serve. Soggy, overcooked and had the taste of 'old cooking oil'. What a pity...

We stayed at the Imperial in July 2015 for 3 nights. This was a short break and we made use of the excellent location of the hotel for trips to some great restaurants and as a base for exploring South West Ireland. The hotel was clean, comfortable and access to the spa was good. It would have been better to...

I found the hotel to be okay. The location was very good - right in the city centre. Although it can be a little easy to get lost what with all the back streets. There is a variety of shops nearby. The room was lovely. It was nicely decorated, clean and tidy. The room looked like something I would like...
