We arrived late and this was no issue for the staff. The room was clean and tidy with just enough space for a couple. Breakfast all ok with friendly service and to finish, the location is great for a short walk to Cork centre.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Anam Cara B & B for our 3 days in Cork. Not only was the room modern and comfortable, but Tim & Aideen Cronin were extremely helpful and friendly, giving us tips on where to eat, loaning us a converter, etc. I recommend this B & B to anyone coming to Cork! Amy

The owners of Anam Cara, Aideen and Tim, were wonderful! They helped us get around Cork and the surrounding area and provided a great place for us to feel at home away from home. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and it was so nice to have parking for our rental car. Although our room was on...

We had a wonderful stay! Even though the house was filled on several of the nights we stayed, it was a very quiet and restful sleep each night. Breakfast was absolutely delicious--full Irish breakfast, lovely pancakes, or a lighter meal. The room was clean each day. The Anam Cara sits nicely between UCC, Tyndall, and City Center. Easy to get to...

We chose Anam Cara because we have stayed there before, as the comfort and breakfasts are excellent, (cannot be faulted), and it is within easy walking distance of the city centre.

This was a great base location for us. We parked the car and could walk to all the shopping, restaurants and pubs. Easy day trips to the Jameson Distillery (highly recommend) and Cobh (originally Queenstown), the last port of the Titanic. The place is super clean and newly renovated (loved that) but our room was small. Lovely hosts!

Close to the downtown area so walking is not a problem. And it's close to the bus and train stations as well (short walks). There was plenty to see and do within a short distance of the B&B and Aideen and Tim where incredibly helpful, friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. If there is any drawback it is the cost...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cork and we were very happy with our accommodation. The location is very central - close to everything, breakfast is just delicious (sets you going for all that sight-seeing), free fast WiFi and also free car park - it ticked all boxes for us. It has very modern rooms and facilities and although there...

“Room 10 - very quiet double room at the back of the house, will definitely be asking for it again!”
PerpStudent, 26 Jun 2014 | Read review
“I had room 6 - ground floor to the front - not a problem for me as I'm used to the student nightlife sounds of Cork but if not be prepared for a certain amount of noise - keep windows closed. There is a boiler or pump beside the room on a cycle of some sort so difficult to get to sleep although didn't disturb once I feel asleep. The room could do with painting and I could actully slip my stockinged fool all the way under the door there is so much of a gap. There is no bin in the bathroom only the room itself - fine for me as I was travelling on my own but not really hygenic for more than one.”
