We visited the Pier Restaurant Kilkee, Co. Clare before Christmas as a guest of a friend. It is Christmas already and we are checking out places to have a nice meal, so it was a lovely surprise to see the décor, ready for the season. There was a large well decorated Christmas tree in the lounge area to the right....

I have read the other reviews, which vary widely. Here's my take. The woman who runs the B & B is not rude, just not effusive. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel where someone will take your bags to your room with a luxurious bed and bathroom, you will need to go someplace else and pay a...

There was a misunderstanding about the booking, but they were very friendly and helpful. It looks lovely, so we decided to come back for dinner. Delicious food, great hosts; first time to highly recommend a place where we didn't sleep.

The Lahiffs had a hearty welcome for us the first time we stayed there. We have stayed there four times in total. it is a fabulous family run guesthouse. Cosy, clean and spacious bedrooms, the most hearty Irish breakfast you can get and the beautiful sea views!! It is only within walking distance to the Armada Hotel and to Spanish...

We were looking for an over night stay and found Bay View Hotel B&B. We were offered the family room on the third floor but didn't mind the steps as we had a huge room, bathrobes, sitting area and huge bath. We were so comfortable that we wished to stay more than one night. We were surprised that for breakfast...

This is a very basic B&B, was probably leading edge in the 1970s and needs bringing up to date. The owner was very friendly however and the breakfast was a really tasty even though it was a very basic selection on offer. Probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again when in the area and we only did on this occasion...

The owners, John and Ann, are very welcoming. Our room overlooked a pasture with cows and you could see the ocean from our room. We took some fabulous pictures with our camera of the sunset over the ocean. The rooms are average size, but they are super clean and comfortable. Across the room in the hall is a sitting room...

We so enjoyed our stay with the Lahiff's. We stayed in a few B&Bs and camped over a few weeks in Clare and voted this the friendliest B&B. It was also the best value. We had a lovely run to the beach in the morning, swim in warm water and sun to welcome us out again. Yes this was Ireland...
