From NYC, I visited Ennis to attend a cousin's wedding at Christmas-time. Someone recommended this hotel as a great value with a central location. I am so happy with the recommendation and I am happy to recommend this hotel to others. The service was amazing and I loved the festive, Christmas atmosphere in the lobby both at tea time and...

Was treated to a 4 nights stay at this charming old Hotel, located in Ennis city centre. The location is great, the rooms are very clean and the staff is very professional. My room was probably not the best one at the hotel (almost below ground floor with windows towards the hotel parking). I usually have problem sleeping away, but...

We spent only one night prior to (sadly) flying out of Ireland from Shannon airport. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, and the room was quite comfortable. The pub was a good one. But we had an excellent and memorable meal at the hotel restaurant. The menu reflected a very creative approach to the new Irish...

The Old Ground is a lovely busy hotel. The outside is attractive, and lives up to expectations. The inside is well-maintained. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room itself was spacious and the bed beautifully made up and comfortable. It was also quiet regardless that the hotel was busy. The restaurant was fully booked but we expected this as...

We stayed here in December, located by all the shopping. Breakfast was great, the restaurant was very good, excellent potato's! There is a walk to some of the rooms, down a few stairs, down a hall, and then up a few stairs. So if you have any problems with stairs, let them know in advance. We did not, but just...

I was passing through Ennis and had 90 minutes between arriving on the train and taking a bus to the Cliffs of Moher. So I wandered into the town and saw this place and walked in half expecting a place of faded grandeur awaiting custom. It was anything but. The place was doing a roaring trade at lunchtime and the...

This was one of the nicest places to stay in Ireland. We loved their "Full Irish Breakfast" They offer many services you just don't find in most hotels. We are from the United States. The electricity is different over on Ireland, but they has receptacles for US electric as well as USB ports. The rooms are very nice and the...
