We had an excellent lunch outside on the lawns of this hotel after a fascinating tour of the abbey next door. Well prepared, despite the heavy traffic at the time we chose. The service by the youthful team was very satisfactory

We ate here on our last evening on Iona. It was magical, We had a window table overlooking the bay. The staff were very good and friendly. The food was excellent. Couldn't fault the visit at all. The restaurant does book up quickly, not surprisingly, so do make a reservation.

Stopped here for a coffee and scone/cake. The only biscuit or cake that we were offered was shortbread which was fine. It was homemade too. Looked delicious when it arrived and a decent size but when we bit into it the shortbread was still very much raw in the inside. No apologies from hotel and they couldn't even offer us...

We had coffee here twice . Lovely garden ,great service and excellent value. If you are looking for a coffee stop convenient to the Abbey this is an excellent choice. On a longer visit we would consider this as a place to stay/eat.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights at the hotel and we found that although the rooms were on the small side they were clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have the coffee replaced as ours ran out after the second night. The breakfast as far as we were concerned was a great disappointment. It was...

Many thanks for your review and for your custom. I'm really sorry the breakfasts weren't what you hoped for. Our reason for charging separately for cooked breakfasts is 2 fold, to try and keep the price for bed and breakfast as reasonable as possible, (which is always a challenge when you're 2 ferry journeys away from all mainland suppliers, trades-people,...

I loved my stay at the St. Columba hotel! The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean. The lounge and restaurant delightful. The location next to the Abbey is fantastic and everything about this tiny island charmed me. I would return in a heartbeat.

My and my wife stayed at the hotel for five days during Easter. This is a place to go if you need to be in a "quiet zone" for a while. No TV and no radio in the rooms. We had a nice room facing the sea. No extra luxury, but it was enough. The only thing we missed was...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel which had a nice restaurant, but, again, the location next to the Abbey was wonderful for those of us who are getting older and don't need a long walk to get to places. Our sister also enjoyed the sunny lounge room for reading in the morning.

The St. Columba Hotel on the Isle of Iona is, in my opinion, the place to stay while on the island. It is fresh and clean and warm and inviting at all times. The staff go out of their way to ensure each guest is comfortable and has what they need. The restaurant offers gourmet dining with stunning views of...

Dot and her staff are incedibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. There's a spirit there of family and we liked getting to know the names of the staff, etc. Our room, #12, was one floor up and looked right out on the Bishop's House and the Sound of Iona. It was quiet and comfortable. We attended a weeklong retreat there and...
