This is probably one the worst experiences of a hotel booking! We got last minute tickets for Coldplay in Hampden Park so choice for accommodation was scarce. We only realised a couple of days prior that there was a curfew on the property of 12am! When asked at check-in the purpose of our stay we told him it was for a concert he then seemed to take great pleasure in telling us that curfew (haven’t had one of them since I was 12) was 12am and to make sure we got back in time. We intended on using the trains and worked out our own timetable for arriving back in time but he ever so pessimistically told us not to rely on the trains and we should book a taxi….anyway we got back in time but his attitude towards paying customers is shocking to say the least….not at all friendly. As well as that the room was like something from the 80’s, 2 single beds (again not seen since I was 12) outdated decor this place needs to be updated immediately. The breakfast was bread cereal, some fruit and yogurt and you need to make up your mind if you want tea or coffee at check-in! Also you need to leave your key with him before you go out! This place is not good at all!

I booked to stay at the Hotel on a Saturday as was going out in Hamilton and then into Glasgow for a concert. The hotel doors close from midnight till 7am and there is no exit or entry within these hours. (Bit of a problem if your planning a late night out). In the end I decided to go and stay at another hotel. I paid upfront on booking.com but no chance of any refund forthcoming as apparently my own fault for not checking booking confirmation. Please be careful.

Having previously enjoyed many excellent meals, gatherings & parties at The Villa it was great to be back once again celebrating with everyone. Nidal’s Indian food is outstanding, clean plates all round! The drinks menu is vast, the choice of Whiskey & Gin was particularly appreciated & bartender Alex was very professional. A Good Job Well Done! Fantastic 👍

I am very disappointed as the hotel give me a refund without warning and said they were overbooked which in fact was a lie. The hotel has rooms available they had given me a price cheaper than they are now charging and this is the reason so everyone beware of there lies.

When we arrived the owner informed us that we had to be back by 1130pm or we would be locked out. When we asked for a key to come in after that time he grabbed the room key from us and told us to find somewhere else to stay. He would not refund the money and said that these conditions were in the small print (but who reads that). Treated us shamefully and like children. I would not recommend this 'hotel' at all.

Went to the villa hotel on Friday for lunch. The menu had great choice and would highly recommend the Cajun chicken burger. I enjoyed it that much I returned the next day with some other members of my family! The chicken tikka chasni was superb. Lovely friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend the villa hotel.

Came here last night as a party of 11 for a birthday. Never again. Food was ok, portions small. No vegetables offered with the steak pie. We complained about one of the steaks being excessively fatty. The person ate what they could of the steak and left a large pile of fat on the plate. The staff answer was “there’s nothing we can do about it” over and over. Any other restaurant would’ve changed it without question or took it off the bill. Not the Villa hotel though. The waiter said they can’t look inside of a steak to see how fatty it is and that was the end of that. Disgusting way to deal with a complaint. The girl serving didn’t have a mask on serving us and even passed pints of lager across the front of us and over our plates to other people at our table. The manager wasn’t interested in doing anything proactive about the steak and his attitude is “tough”. None of us will ever be back. You wouldn’t get that attitude from Carrigans that’s for sure. No wonder the place was dead on a Saturday night. And as for the cocktails, served in a glass half the usual size and charging £7. Also we had a lovely bunch of flowers delivered to the Restaurant that they were supposed to bring out to the birthday girl and they “forgot” the sender of the flowers had to go to the Villa the next day, collect the flowers and deliver them to the woman’s house herself. Managers attitude leaves a lot to be desired, you’ve been warned, spend your money elsewhere or you’ll be disappointed

Party of 11 for a 70th birthday. Steaks were extremely fatty, the birthday lady couldn’t eat hers as fat running right through. We complained about it but waiter said ‘can’t do anything about it’, no discount or refund. Steak pie was inedible, gravy made from a packet so thick and salty, was also left on plate, no veg just chips. Waitress was not wearing a mask and leaned over us all 🦠 do not waste your money here!
