Very friendly and helpful staff. We asked about buses and three staff all helped to find the correct bus and times. They were also very welcoming and nothing seemed too much for them. Overall, I would rate this as excellent.
very helpful and friendly staff, the first room we stopped in was a little run down and the bathroom door jammed shut and we couldn't open it, the staff handled the situation very well and moved us to a new room,, the second was fine
The hotel here is a bit dated and could do with a bit of a refurb. The location is great for travelling. The staff are great. Very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is close to Hamilton, so if you need to get a bite to eat that's not McDonald's, then it's a five minute journey.
Not worth the pound spent. We stop there for the night after arriving late to EDI. Old and worn out look, got 2 rooms separated (had booked for a family of 5 with children). In one of the rooms the door handle was broken, had to lock with the inner chain. The room cleanliness was just acceptable, but when I went to bed, my wife screamed since a 1 inch wide spider was crawling from the pillow to my head Definitely a hotel not to visit ever again... Next morning, I went to reception to book a taxi, just to find there only the cleaning lady that had not very much idea about this...
We stayed one night. At check in, the computer was down. Once in the room, we discovered the shower head cracked and spraying water on the ceiling and walls in the bathroom. I wrapped it with a bandaid to stop the spray. Ceiling and walls were moldy. Not pleasant seeing spots of black mold through the bathroom. On a shelf in the wardrobe was a layer of dirt. Not dust, soil. Apparently room was not cleaned. At 7 am, housekeeping keyed into the room. Thankfully the chain lock was on, or they would have walked in. Not a pleasant wake up.
Staff Amazing so willing to help! Hugely disappointed with state of building . Definitely needing upgrade. Rooms were dirty definately need upgrade .poor facilities. Wi fi does NOT work in your room. Beds huge blood stains x2 on one of beds ,shower was like standing under a tap no spray !! Horrendous . No storage ! NO fridge in room but when we stayed in Abbington Days Inn fridge clean ++ No SECURITY anybody can walk through hotel no questions asked.. SCARY ! DO NOT GO THERE! Go to premier inn feel safe and clean
I had a good night's sleep in a clean room and a friendly reception on arrival. But previous contact by email and telephone to ensure that I would be given a ground floor room for my blind dog who cannot do stairs was very poor - ie. absolutely non existent. No return phone calls or emails.
A poor place to stop for a night. Limited services near the hotel - had to drive into Hamilton for a meal. WiFi wouldn't work in the room. Had to pay for an extra room for the third person yet there was a spare bed in our room. The room had one mug for two of us and no spoons. Had to get more from reception - which was usually vacant.
We stayed here for the night while driving from London to Scotland. Based on its location, it is quite a convenient place for a night halt. Unfortunately the internet was not working when we stayed. Decent rooms and beds.
Bathroom, and bedroom was filthy, no one on reception, hair clogged around the plug holes, walls were splattered in something, maybe spilt drinks, would never stay again, and would never pay this amount for a days inn again
