This hotel is extremely friendly and remarkable value for money. Unusual in that there is a separation of the restaurant and the hotel. Consequently it attracts fine diners (Italian menu) who aren't resident, and offers twin/triple rooms for the stopover. Downside is no breakfast on offer, but can be planned round.
Will re-visit whenever opportunity permits.

This place is amazing the owners can not do enough to make you feel welcome. The room and social areas are extremely clean. This place should be fully booked all the time. I need to use 200 characters so just filling the space now.

Rose and Davie were wonderful hosts and very helpful with any requests. There was always a cheerful good morning and they were very knowledgeable about the local area. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again as they really do understand service and making you feel at home.

A perfect family run hotel in a fantastic location. Within walking distance from transport links and great restaurants. The owners go out of the way to make your stay as fabulous as possible. Bright clean well proportioned rooms, and the hotel offers you all you need whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Our usual hotels were fully booked due to an event so we had to take what was available but were sorely disappointed.

On going up to the room the numbers were scrawled on pieces of paper and sellotaped to the doors.

In the rooms we opened the wardrobe to find it was general dumping ground rather than space for the obligatory spare blanket.

Old tv brackets were left on the walls as well as an arial hanging dubiously from a corner.

Pulling back our net curtains we weren't expecting an exceptional view but equally neither were we expecting the can of lager from a previous resident...!

Room dated and could be much improved. Definitely would stay at the cheaper premier inn or such as much cleaner and better value!!! Would never book again.

On a positive note, the food was to a high standard and the people running the show were lovely.

Lovely lady on reception booked us in , she said we were room only but we booked b&b and she sorted it within minutes.
Room was basic but comfy and clean and pleasant.
Breakfast was 5* and red hot and the staff were perfect couldn't do enough for you .
Ronnie (one of the customers) made us feel very welcome and chatted endlessly with us .
Only negative i found was the shower was cold but i told staff and they'll probably sort it .
Bar was good and reasonably priced and good parking.
All in all great little place and we will be back .

I had a recent overnight stop at the Clydesdale Hotel. The staff were very friendly and more than accommodating. It was quite a hectic trip but the handy location of the hotel, and availability of the car park, made it very easy for me to run about. I had to leave early next morning but I was made aware of breakfast. Very comfy room.

Hi Laura it's about 15 mins walk into town centre from the hotel. The Hamilton palace is a night club but there is a pub downstairs from it called the rainbow room. Anything else we can help you with just ask. We are originally from this area x
