Of the 7 hotels and guest houses that we stayed in during our recent trip to Great Britain this little gem was the best of them all. Liz is a charming host and made us feel right at home. Our room was lovely as is the whole Inn. Breakfast was superb, definitely the best fresh fruit and yogurt I ate...

We arrived at 5pm and were met by Liz, a very friendly welcome and first impressions were good. Then Liz showed us to our room (No 3). Wow, a huge room immaculately presented with a large king and a single bed (we had been upgraded) the decor was very good and we looked forward to a pleasant evening. Started by...

The owner Liz is such a lovely warm friendly person who greeted us both with fresh shortbread. Upon arrival, Liz even gave us a choice of rooms which was very decent and thoughtful (not many places will do that!). We stayed in the lovely front family room with en suite and quirky beautiful furniture. A menu was supplied for our...

An amazing place to stay – a friendly welcome, a spotlessly clean room with all your home comforts and an excellent choice for breakfast. Normally a day tripper to Ayr but after staying at the Burnside due to a family event we will definitely be staying over in future.

Our 1-night stay in Room 2, in the rear, was comfortable. The room was adequately-sized, with a small, but adequate bathroom added en suite. The heavy drapes kept out the light in the morning and the heater was on, though not necessary. We had a few technical difficulties with our charger, and Liz helped us diagnose the problem and was...

I just stayed here for one night. I made the booking following reading reviews on tripadvisor. The room was very comfortable but I was a bit disappointed about the noise coming from the adjacent room. It was quite noisy and there was a loud noise when they flushed their toilet. I was a bit disappointed with the shower room. The...

This B&B is excellent. Liz is so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are big with lovely decoration and the breakfast was excellent. The location is very central and there is lots of street parking available. Strongly recommend you stay here if you are in Ayr!
